Just as a reminder... One can't use [wiki][/wiki] tags to create a link to section of wiki page, because the autoadded .html goes to wrong place... Specifically, it goes to the end, it should go just before # in order for the link to work properly... E.g. [wiki]foo#bar[/wiki] links to /foo#bar.html, not to /foo.html#bar

For me, that page gives the error "Site Temporarily Unavailable". I don't think the link is dead, but if the site never becomes available again, someone can change or remove that link.

Even when I read a thread, the "new posts" status (indicated by and ) doesn't get cleared. Only when I use the "Mark all topics read" link does it go away.

Does it only happen in the browser you normally use? Try clearing the cookies for tasvideos.org and see if the problem persists.

it’s weird, everything works fine for me, did you try looking for unread posts on previous pages?

That's not how this version of phpbb works, imo - you open a thread and all posts in it are marked read. Anyway, I logged out and removed the cookie and it seems to work now. Thanks CoolKirby!

You're welcome! And you're right; viewing any part of a thread with new posts will cause the whole thread to be marked read. (Just tested with page 10 of the BizHawk>Bug Reporting thread and refreshed the BizHawk section to find the new posts icon gone.)

Uh....I'm not sure what was posted at page 70, but going here: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11804&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=1380 gives me this: <image> :o
Looking at the site referenced in your browser, and at the images contained in that topic page, it's triggered by GeminiSaint's avatar. For some reason, Chrome declared whatever site GeminiSaint has his avatar on a malware distributor. EDIT: As has Firefox when trying to visit the image link directly.

Uh...Why does some of the movies appear like this: It only seems to occur for some movies too, oddly enough.

Doesn't seem to happen in Firefox. Digging into it using some CSS debugger (or something like that) in Chrome could be useful...

Came here to report the same issue. Seems to be Chrome-exclusive, as it doesn't happen with Internet Explorer either. Furthermore, it seems to be related to window size, as the glitch corrects itself when the browser window is made smaller: Before resize | After resize The glitch also appears to be related to the submission table's content, as it triggers at a smaller width for the Wario's Woods page than for the Castlevania SotM page. Using Chrome's element inspector to disable the "table.item th, table.item td, table.tracker {padding: 1px;}" rule (doing so sets padding to 2 rather than 1) appears to fix the issue. Honestly can't explain why.

That happens to me with Opera occasionally, so I don't think that it's a Chrome exclusive bug. Opera and Chrome have been using the same layout-engine since Opera 15 and Chrome 28, so I feel like the bug is probably related to that.

Opera now uses the same rendering system as Chrome, so yes that's still a Chrome exclusive bug.

Something that has been bugging me for awhile: for some reason the site doesn't remember when I last visited, or when I last saw a thread. The "new posts" icon usually remains visible for threads that have no new posts in them, and when clicked the first "new" post it goes to is something several days old. Copious usage of the "mark whole forum read" button solves the first issue but not the second. I don't have this issue with any of the other phpBB sites that I frequent. Running Chrome on win7.

The forums have always handled read status weird (and I think it's this version of phpBB), and restarting the browser or logging out and in will reset the time to the last time you actually visited. Probably a cookie that doesn't clear well but I've not bothered to look. >_>

I always solve that problem by clearing the cookies for tasvideos.org. This should also fix any issues with displaying members' avatars.

But Kirby, it happens to me several times per day. Do you mean I should clear my cookies whenever I open the TAS site?

I have the problem you mentioned where read threads will keep their "new posts" icon until the "Mark whole forum read" button is pressed, and clearing just the tasvideos.org cookies one time and then logging back in fixes the problem. If it fixes that, I would assume it would fix the other forum problems you're having. Does clearing the cookies work for you?

Forum related. I watch this site with 2 different computers, one at work and the other one my personal laptop. I just came back from work reading new posts of the day, and on my personal computer they still show as new messages. Here is a neat picture: http://i.imgur.com/SXvw1zT.png However, new posts that I checked on my laptop doesn't appear as "new" when I come back at work. Not really a bad thing, that way I don't have to remember which video to look at after work. I don't know if that happens to anybody else or it is just me?
