Noxxa: This movie has been perceived as sloppy by multiple audience members, and clearly lacks polish. Movements are somewhat suboptimal, unnecessary items are obtained, and the first bossfight for example just mashes autofire causing time-wasting lag before the boss is even onscreen. (This saves time for the bonus screen, but can be done much more efficiently, as shown in this WIP which clears the first stage 91 frames faster).
Rejecting due to visible room for improvement and sloppy play.

TASVideos is like a quicksand, you get in, but you cannot quit the sand
FYI since it's not obvious. This is basically a reskinned version of another game that has had a ton of different versions.

Also, you can't beat the game without getting the scrolls and using the secret entrance so it's not exactly a skip. It's just beating the game. If you beat stage 12 without a scroll (or using the entrance) it sends you back to that stage to play through again in a loop until you do get them/use the entrance.
He's saying your run is sloppy and slow. Which, presuming that YouTube video is your submitted run, it is.
For example, you are only getting closer to the end of stage when you are moving forward (and moving only forward gets you to the end faster than moving diagonally forward). Therefore, any time you can, you should be moving straight forward. Any time you are not moving straight forward, it should be because you have no choice but to change your path, i.e. you are about to be hit and will die, or you need to change paths to get a needed scroll.
Everything focuses on being fast. If you can save even 1/60 of a second, you should do so. Any unnecessary movement must be eliminated, anything that wastes time must be removed.
edit: On watching the later parts of the movie, you seem to largely do this in at least the last stage, but the earlier stages are still kind of a mess. I think if you go back through it rigorously, this could be a solid run.
You need most patience and more savestates by use frame advance to avoid sloppy gameplay (you can configure "frame advance" on your favorite key, my favorite key for frame advance is Q ("+" is default key).
In TASes you can not waste shots (especially in shooter games). Items in TASes you must take this on the exactly frame. You have potential, only needs practice more, request help and some example video for you see and do perfect and entertainment videos!
That is an encode of his rejected submission from 6 months ago, not the current submission.
Here is a temp encode of this submission.

Didn't realize a game objective was incorrectly listed.

This comment is not based on the current video, but Priam is very right, and got4n's first stage improvement minimized diagonal movement.
Though still inoptimal, nico30620's current submission is far better than most commenters so far are making it out to be (48 seconds faster and 10 times the rerecords of the last submission).

Had a look into the game.
You get hit, YOU DIE
Remove this point.
He does not die.
The Game itself is if you get hit you die.
I'm quoting if he takes damage it falls under the "Takes damage to save time" which doesn't exist because you get hit you die.
Why did I have a feeling a stupid comment will pop up.

Looks a lot better than the previous submission. No obvious improvements stand out. All I have to say is that the stream of stars you pump out while waiting for the boss guy looks terribly sloppy.
A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.
