With the Peops driver 1.4 you should be able to see your input on the top-left corner, but you should also be able to see the input in the lua console.
Here's a screenshot.
Note: Actually, your movie desync around frame 3000 for some odd reason, thought before I'm sure I was able to sync all the way(even with the "no sound" spu plugin and a previous pcsxrr version, the movie didn't sync)
Has anyone managed to get the movie to sync with the plugin driver?

I am about to beat Dooty in the any% category! It's a segmented speedrun on the PC version and I'm on my last segment now. Once my run is ready for Speed Demos Archive! submission, the WIP on my YouTube channel will be deleted and every Oddworld fan should wait for the final run to be published. Stay tuned!

Hy, first of all I'm not TASer, not even a speedrunner, I'm just a regular player who casualy watch TAS and speedrun videos. To be fair I register here just to submit this idea. Also I'm french so please forgive me if my english is bad.
I recently watched the "maximum casualities" run of Abe's Oddysee by Dooty and read the submission. Apparently it seems impossible to kill the three Mudokons in Paramonia with the allowed items, it seems to be the same with most of the Mudokons who are placed in the game to give some power ups or to block you (most of them whistle). But at the end of the game, if you killed enough Mudokons, it says you have infinite grenades on a new game. Maybe this will allow to kill every last one of them, exept for the one we have to rescue.
It could be easy to check it with a pad, but unfortunatly neither my PS1 nor my TV screen are avaible right now. Also I don't know if making a run which begins after beating the game once is acceptable for a TAS.
Hope this can help.

Now we have, at least, three time savers for a new 100% run;
1) the shortcut from the maximum casualties run
2) the new bird portal glitch
3) the dismount Elum while moving glitch
Sorry for this late reply, but I'm focussed on some other projects. Anyways;
I wish! You would be able to skip Paramonia and Scrabania this way in a new game+ any% run.
But after beating the game with the maximum casualties you can't start a new game.
Instead, you start near that Mudokon you must rescue in order to advance, in Zulag 1 I think.
Also, you can't use a grenade in a place you can't collect one, even the infinite ones;
the game, the emulator or even your Windows will hang...
I am old enough to know better, but not enough to do it.
Here is what I discovered on how to do the bird portal closure glitch:
Bird portal glitch
Hold R1 for 65 frames
Let go of R1 button for 49 frames and the press R>.

Great! Thank you, Samlaptop.
I'm still not working "officially" on a new 100% run, but I'm planning some of the rescues using the new tricks.
As you may know I'm trying to learn English, I mean the spoken English, and it's taking almost all of my spare time.
It even ruined one of my projects recently, I had to abandom it due the lack of time to work more consistently on it.
So, I'll start a new 100% run of Abe's Oddysee only when I can dedicate "100%" of my time to make it as enjoyable as possible.
I am old enough to know better, but not enough to do it.
I tried to edit you any% in to add the new bird portal cloesure glitch and it didn't show the glitch being used at all and it went out of sync. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Send your file to me (PM), and I'll try to fix it for you.
I've been using TAS Movie Editor in all Abe's runs and it's hex friendly, but sometimes I had to fix it manually.
About the 100% planning, there are few uses for the Bird Portal trick, you can only use it if there are no Mudokons near the portal. The Dismount Elum While Moving trick is really interesting, but dangerous at the same time; use it twice and you can't move abe around, you control only Elum and a "stuck Abe" in front of it (funny, but useless), and you won't be able to advance to a next area. Sometimes you can dismount more times, but I don't know what's the requirement.
In short:
1) there are only three places to use the Bird Portal trick to save time
2) lots of places to use the Dismount Elum trick, but it's unstable
3) the short cut from the casualties run also works on the 100% run
4) some movements can be cleaned up a bit, like pulling levers
Well, it won't be an amazing improvement, but an improvement nevertheless.
And while I'm at it, I'll test the DDG using bees on Monsaic Lines a little more.

Thanks a lot, feos! You don't know how bad it was to work with so many flashing lights in your face, even worse for me since I have migraine and flashing lights kinda triggers my headaches.
So, I'm already working on the 100% run update, three Mudokons saved, 111 frames ahead and no headaches so far. :)
Well, one of the Mudokons was a little bit stubborn, but he decided to cooperate in the end.

That's great, I'll try to make it worth their while.
Three minutes and twenty seconds is quite some time to save! I'd love to beat that mark,
so I'm not reusing anything from the current published run.
About the WIP, I'll post one as soon as I finish RuptureFarms. (Seven Mudokons saved so far, 144 frames ahead.)
I am old enough to know better, but not enough to do it.
What's new so far? Have you found quicker strategies?
Edit: there is a quicker way of making the Slig enter the bomb in Scrabiana when doing the DDG. After many retakes you can make him recognise you and he doesn't walk to the right. I have done this method before and that will save some frames.

Nothing much new, I'm just smoothing some edges. But there's something that can't be changed:
the time needed for the Mudokons to stop paying attention to Abe, it's like a frame rule so it won't be improved.
But I'm trying to make something different for every rescue, so even if it's not too much faster than the published run, it will at least be different. :)

Yeah, those Sligs can be manipulated way better than I did on the published run, but some of them will behave regardless of what Abe says.
The first rescue is a good example; the Slig will always run to the left, but I used it to my advantage now.
I am old enough to know better, but not enough to do it.
I found another useful way to save frames in your new 100% run Dooty!
In Slgfanytry's speedrun, at the very last part of the Monsaic Lines, instead of rolling towards the lever like you do, he rolls for a few frames and then continues running and then he runs towards the lever and pulls it.

Thank you, Samlaptop. I don't know why I was thinking that rolling was faster. Running then walking is a lot faster when you need to pull those levers indeed.
Oh, new strategy on Mudokon #8, he'll be #10 now, also I don't need nine grenades, just six so I'm redoing from the Boom Machine...
