I'd rather force everyone to use bitcomet than forcing everyone to stop using it.
Except it doesn't run on everything not Windows, and there's more than one Linux (and probably Mac OS too) user here.
There are other problems with forcing everyone to use one client (doesn't matter which one) too.
Besides, even if I were to get another BT client, I'd close it as it as soon as it was finished to free up memory on my computer.
Then you are just a selfish leecher. You would be downloading files at the expense of others, ie. at the expense of the unselfish people out there who actually seed complete files (even though they don't have anything to gain from that). You must realize even yourself that if everyone acted like you, nobody would get anything.
Congratulations on missing my point entirely. I have BitComet open all the time. No other client is as good about memory usage, or about being as user-friendly. I would not be getting rid of it. So if I want to continue downloading the TA movies, I'd have to open another client. You can see where this is going?
If bisqwit would just allow BitComet, I'd be able to seed just like everyone else, just like I always do for everything. But he's taken that option away from me.

He is right that other client uses TOOOOOOOOOOOOO much memory which slow down the PC.
I am using bitcomet and it doesn't download faster than any other client. In fact, it uploads as fast as any other client from what I have experienced. And I always get a minimum ratio of 1/1. So... using bitcomet doesn't mean that you are a leecher. Be wise before attacking people like this.
Better than that if you are uploading at the maximum speed you internet connection can support, the download speed is diminished.
IMO, banning this client is more selfish than anything else. By having less peers, it will take more time to download the file.
See, this is why I download my torrents through another computer running Azureus. I don't have to worry about cpu usage since it's dedicated to that anyway.
I don't think CPU usage is any problem with modern computers. I have currently 4 bittorrent clients seeding at maximum speed, and they together take less than 1% of CPU time.
Heck, I can even play Doom3 with them running in the background and don't notice anything.

You seem to have some kind of misconception.
The bittorrent client tells the server how much it is able to upload currently and the server adjusts the downloading speed of the client accordingly. It's fair and there's nothing wrong with that. If the server thinks that the client is uploading too little, then it will let it download less as well.
So it doesn't matter if you have a 10000000/1kB line. If your client is honest, your download rate will be fair compared to your upload rate. The bittorrent idea has precisely been designed to handle these situations fairly.

You obviously completely missed the sarcasm there. And you are wrong about how BitTorrent works.
The tracker simply sends out peer data and collects statistics. The logistics of the downloading and uploading are entirely handled by the client. Basically, the more you download from any particular peer, the more priority will be placed on uploading to them, and vice versa.
The reason that some other trackers have been banning BitComet is because of this issue, which only affects private trackers, and seems to have been finally resolved as of v0.59.
This is the only public tracker I'm aware of that has banned BitComet, and for a reason that you can't even explain properly.
I switched to 0.59, and I don't get banned anymore. I'm not sure if it's proved 100% though (might have been banned once gain) .I see other peers having bitcomet, mostly 0.59 I think, and on the tracker of this site... So, is there still a real problem ?

Believe it or not, but if it really is so that bitcomet is an honest client, I might actually switch to it because it has been praised so much here (I don't have pride issues as many people do).
It's just that if there really is a dishonesty in this client which causes it to be banned from servers, I don't want to use it. However, if it's all just a big misunderstanding, then it's ok.

Basically it was because
1. It broadcasted falso stats
2. It opened up private torrents to others
Apparently these had been fixed in BC 0.59. Otherwise I seem to use BC 0.59 here with no problems.
I used BitComet a long time ago, but I was getting banned from my favorite trackers... I started using µTorrent! It was an easy transition from BitComet and there is every feature I need. Haven't used BitComet since that and I have convinced my friends to switch as well :)

same as me, µTorrent is a really good choice. only one thing, after some amount of time i get a BlueScreen, always, this is nor the trakers error, but the error of my stupit W-Lan USB adapter <.<
Hopefully there are good reasons why most torrent client programs are blacklisted. A few other private trackers (including wrestling ones) are doing the same.
I been a huge uTorrent fan and that gives me fewer problems than Azureus.
There are a few bittorrent clients (IIRC BitComet was at one point one of them) which either intentionally or unintentionally (due to some bug) lie to the tracker and somehow succeed, at least partially, in circumventing the bittorrent logic which tries to avoid anyone abusing the system. Unfortunately I don't remember the details, but it's one common reason for some trackers to completely ban some clients.
AFAIK the problem with BitComet was a bug which has been long ago fixed.
