well i know it is not much but here is the beginning part of my TAS.
As a beginner TASer, the best thing you could possibly hope to do to get better is to pick an extremely complex game with a huge amount of frame-precise tricks that will require an insane amount of dedication, time, work, and listening to other people who know much, MUCH more about the game than you. Don't even bother with simple games that you know a lot about, just throw yourself into the middle of a not-entirely-stable TASing platform and pick a game that has an extremely competitive speedrun base that would be nigh-on impossible to beat with your level of skill. Skill is for losers, you have infamy and everyone thinking you're a troll on your side.
Good luck on your future whining and inevitable dropping of this run.

I've decided to 100% TAS SM64, how many stars does that game have again? Also how do you do that thing where you bounce off of a wall in another direction?
Anyway you guys need to stop being mean, if he can beat Major Mask faster than MrsGrunz then isn't he the best in the world? Please don't pre-judge.
Can we seriously just stop being assholes and be friendly? Who cares who does what? Give constructive feedback or if you don't want to, don't do anything at all.

Being faster than the current TAS and optimizing the TAS he works on are two different things. Even with some sloppy gameplay he might still be faster, but I wouldn't count him the best at this game.

You know what, I'm not going to bother putting my 2 cents in it again, I actually think this time it's bullying from an incorrect point of view.
When looked at correctly it was everyone trying to be sarcastic... I won't go into details because Ech.
Slowking you're working on 100% correct? (if not sorry, been out of the loop)
How's the progress?

Oh god,the lack of punctuation. It's him. He's here again. The Oblivion Walker himself.
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto.
TAS i'm interested:
Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS?
i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Guys, please just keep it civil and please be polite and helpful. If you can't do that when oblvionwalker/TAG is involved, then don't post.
I don't want to see another shitfest here because everyone likes trolling oblvionwalker/TAG. You should know better than that.

<Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits
<adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.
My apologies for adding to the mess because I'm about to, but could a moderator or admin clean up this thread? If not, there shouldn't be another post here until it's on topic.
Ok so i have made the decision to use the english, mainly for the fact it is better for me.
Also is there a way to hex my file name into the file select?
I’m sorry. Really I am... I am so sorry for what I did. Forgive me.

There's no way to do that without adding the frames and controls
Gonna go ahead and post all the relevant info that we were discussing a while back.

Yes, those are the options. Good summary. :)
Milk Road > Palace > SoS > Fairy Magic.
Nah. You can only exit clock town through the east gate. The fairy is right there. It would be stupid not to get it on the way.
Testing it all sounds fun...
You are welcome to do some. ;D

Thank you for the answer :) I'm no TASer, just a nooby spectator of all the great work done here.
No worries. I'm no TASer either, I mean you saw what crap I tased together up there. :D
I just thought I was clear. Guess not.
To get SoS you just walk up to the stone slab and press A and the deku pipes will come out, wether you have the ocarina or not.

So collecting rupees, going to milk road and still making it to clock tower before midnight is possible.
Obviously I didn't bother to manipulate all the rupees a real TAS would, but I did two spins per grass patch, which should be enough.
Also, now that we don't need close to 200 rupees anymore (157 should be enough) only two patches on the second trip seems realistic.
Manipulation will take a little longer than two normal spins, but this isn't very optimised. So with more optimisation it should still be very much possible to make it to the clock tower before midnight.

BKM (desyncs at second banker): https://mega.co.nz/#!iYoEkBCK!NWIO_Rh0UUaDQmfD4PCRQApYqeEiEHD60-2mhaT8pyc
Interesting things to note:
- While selecting how many rupees to deposit into the bank alternating between direction and neutral is one frame faster than just pressing the direction.
- The banker has some quicktexts that are only about 6 characters long. In normal play you would hardly even notice it, but it does save a few frames.
- Somthing about entering milk road and exiting it is desyncy. This is now the second TAS that desynced there and had to be fixed.
- Savesates don't seem to be perfect in bizhawk, as desyncing movies do sync from states. Still, only two desyncs means it's a hell of a lot better than mupen.
effort on the first draft means less effort on any draft thereafter
- some loser
ok so i hexed in the file name but the rest of the TAS desynces, but only if there is no blue boxes if there is one blue box then it syncs. (one frame of blue might still be exceptible maybe)
on a note of desync, the way i handle it is to make a state and then reload it and then make another state one frame later.
doing that four or five times seems to help me out alot when it comes to syncing the run up.
i will post another wip by the end of the week.
and MrsGrunz how did you sync up your run?
I’m sorry. Really I am... I am so sorry for what I did. Forgive me.
So i have run into a little issue, when ever i sync up my TAS via hex it always desyncs.
Would someone please help me out and hex in the imputs for me?
It would be very very kind if someone did that for me, for i have been trying to hex the inputs in for 3 weeks and no results.
Thankyou in advance.
