If Dolphin can run Wii games, and Call of Duty Black Ops is a Wii game (yes I'm serious, go to Wal Mart and look in the games section), then chances are we could TAS everyone's favorite this-gen first-person shooter! Imagine superfast no-scoping and semtex throws!

Sorry, I've never actually played Call of Duty much, but there is a campaign mode, right? I'd assume that would be the category to complete.

From the looks of the Dolphin Compatibility List page, this game should be totally playable in Dolphin, so you're free to test it out if you want to start a run of it. It also looks like there are all kinds of Call of Duty games for GC and Wii if you want to work on another one after TASing this game.

Have you looked into movement techniques? Seen any good non-TAS CoD speedruns? I don't know if they would work in the Wii version, but I do know it would be something to look into first of all. Also, can we, I request, set a good precedent for this threat and be civil? Please? That would be nice.

I would like to see one of CoD 4 instead of black ops. I think it could be more interesting.

I think both would be cool and also attract new fans to tasvideos.

Hah! Here you are! Link to video Link to video and so on! Gerbur has found sth program which can slow down the game! I am more than sure that he recorded each mission individually and in single-segment (because there is no save states =)): recorded the slow downed run and speeded it up to normal speed! I saw sth video on YouTube where the small window with speed is shown, but I can't find this program anywhere is the internet! Enjoy!
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

Actually, if he didn't explicitly say he used another program, he might have used Dolphin to make those. He gave his laptop make and model (which someone wouldn't do if playing on a modded Wii) in the description and he very well could have used lots of savestates and just dumped and encoded the videos he uploads (in which the load state messages wouldn't appear). If that is how Call of Duty plays on Dolphin (perfectly), I'd say there's nothing stopping a run from being made.

Actually, looked more like PC version to me (at least judging from the buttons).

Yes, those videos were made playing the PC version. The Wii version doesn't have that kind of graphical effects and looks like PS2 game.

If it's possible to control the aiming stick with a mouse and aim the crosshair on the head without "over-aiming" (i.e., I just aim on the head in slow motion, shoot, and kill the enemy without any TAS-inputs), I'd use =)!

Link to video NOOOO Please don't tell that anymore, TAS Input is the only way for FPS, arrow keys is bad idea, mostly in FP game..

You can tell its not really a TAS(definitely just PC slowed down) because he looks down both directions in hallways and hasn't really planned out the route. GC Dolphin would be the preferred choice due to TAS input(and use of Gamecube controller instead of nunchuck).

Wouldn't aiming with the wiimote allow for more entertaining stuff ? (but to be fair, I did try to TAS Modern Warfare some time ago with the wiimote and... it's really hard to manage ><)

I'm unsure if there would be any difference between a wiimote pointing from one side of the screen to the other versus controller pointing quickly from one side to another. Could be tested to see if one is faster, i feel that the character has the same speed of gun movement with both types of controllers.

Is there a "sensitivity" setting? and how high can it be turned up for each controller?

I know for a fact that Call of Duty games on Xbox, PS3, and PC have sensitivity options, but i'm not sure about the wii version.

MW1 doesn't accept the GC controller, and it does have a sentitivity menu. http://puu.sh/8MVvM.jpg

Well it looks like Black cops Ops is a good start, because GC controller recording is more stable than
Actually, I'm pretty sure Black Ops does not support gamecube controllers. I tried looking in the controls menu, and it only gave options for wiimote, nunchuck and wii zapper. And also the classic controller.

After doing some search, no Wii COD games accept GC controller, black ops accept only classic controller.
