Seems like theres a few points where the man just stops moving, right at the beginning and once he lands on the wall. I really wish tas input could have wiimote implmented

This run desyncs for me in the main menu. The old one (which you posted at the top of page 2 of this thread) synced perfectly on Dolphin 4.0.2 with the official DSP ROMs. By the way, make sure you're not just autofiring A through those white screens right after powering on the game. Wait until the first frame the game will allow you to dismiss each message, and then press A. Have you figured out how to do the skip glitch? You need to be precise with the timing, but otherwise it should be easily doable.

It's looking a lot better! It's still noticeably keyboard input, though I understand there's not much that can be done about that at the moment. And like CK said, stay away from autofiring through menus: You could be losing a frame each time a menu is cleared. It's okay for a test run, but for a run you intend to submit you should make sure everything's cleared on the first frame possible, and autofire only does that half the time at most. Also, I agree that Anubis II should be part of this thread, since it's almost literally the same game anyway. Same controls, same physics, same menus, same music, same developers, same level of incompetence... It'd probably have the same level skip glitch too.

Ah also, you're menus are badly optimized.

The start of level, I remove the box earlier than you and start running earlier than you and also, when I jump on candies, I use a faster route than you, check my comparison video of your old wip :p

Just keep cheking with a single input rhen see if there are any results from just that and repeat. Also you could turn on one or two frames, then go into running direction(see if bread man turns and runs).. See if you can turn before it occurs visually

Just for the record, I was using Dolphin dev 4.0-146. The finished movie will be in normal 4.0

Er...you might want to use 4.0.2 instead. 4.0 shouldn't be used for TASing because of a bug in that version that broke determinism (I think Dual Core Mode couldn't be turned off or something). It's great that you're still working on this though! Do you want to post your progress here to make sure it syncs for us?

I'll continue it until I finish my Q Boy run. But sadly I still have no new progress.

So I made a run of Anubis II: Link to video I'll submit it soon, unless someone notices a glaring mistake.

Looks good to me, I see some menu differences between the two games, Anubis II's menu is faster than Ninjabread Man's it seems.

Does the level skip glitch exist in all of Data Design Interactive's games?

I would say yes, since nearly all of them share the same core engine. It's like with most of the bugs in Ocarina of Time still being present in Majora's Mask, for example.
effort on the first draft means less effort on any draft thereafter - some loser

It works in two of their other platformers (which are very similar to NBM and Anubis II), Rock 'n' Roll Adventures and Myth Makers: Trixie in Toyland. Walking atop walls also works in the former. It doesn't, however, work in Myth Makers: Orbs of Doom (no "level complete" menu) or Myth Makers: Super Kart GP (once you "press A to continue", it locks out further A presses), despite them using the same engine. It all depends on the menu at the end of the level.

So I've decided to pickup again this one... it's been a LONG time since I first TASed this one, so the frame glitch MUST be easier this thyme.
