The frame advance without sound really bothers me, unlike the other emulators that has sound which are easier to make TASes with. Is this possible with desmume too?

Ok, is there any way to activate sound on frame advance mode? I really need it, please...

Why do you need it? If you're going to play to music patterns, then you can just try different input sequences on different frames and play it back to see if it looks good.

Its not that. I need them for very specific timing between clicks and sound effects in my Club Penguin TAS, without them, I just have to guess. I haven't been succesful finding RAM addresses for it so its my other easy choice.

Well, sound tends to be butchered during frame advance, so chances are, you would be forced to use trail and error to find the right frames to press regardless.

It's butchered, but it's deterministically butchered, so you could learn to recognize what means what (if there's only very simple sounds playing for example)

Just try every frame and find the earliest one that works. It's tedious, but it's optimal. You don't need sound or sound cues or anything for a TAS unless you're moving/playing along to the music for entertainment.
