It may have something to do with the fact that recently Dolphin started emulating load times correctly, they more accurately represent load times on the actual console. Previously everything loaded really fast. This may contribute to your problems where things had worked before.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing earlier, it may be the case..

If you are slower the ocean should have time to load.
Perhaps these too.. What I was seeing on Abahbob's version, is he had a speed of over 2000+. And it loaded pretty quickly. Too be fair, I WAS out in the middle of the ocean, with the more optimized superswim. I'll look into this very soon, I'll test Dolphin versions, all that stuff. And thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it.

Time lost because of more accurate emulation is not accounted for during judging. You should use the more accurate version.

I am already using a very recent version of Dolphin. :P I also figured out my problem, I was traveling through islands too quick using the angled superswims, cheers for the help again guys. (Sorry if I screwed up my English, I've been up all night compiling.. x_x)

Oh I forgot about sonicpacker's Super Mario Galaxy tas so that makes it four major titles on the way :) With all due respect Itspersonnal, I consider your Sonic run to be a semi-major run :) But I really look forward to your run as I am sure it will be a fantastic run. Abahbob, do you have a route in mind knowing unfortunately shuffle refused to release his code :/

What is unquestionably the current most optimized GC TAS takes backseat to the Metroid Prime TAS, who's authors don't even know how to scan dash? I'm genuinely offended.

Not to be off topic or anything, but I don't think this is appropriate to be argued in the Wind Waker TAS thread. I think every game can be enjoyed regardless of its popularity. Just because game X didn't sell as well as game Y doesn't mean the TAS is any less important or exciting... I'm not a huge sonic fan, but I absolutely love the speedruns, they bring out the best (and sometimes beyond) in those games and I always look forward to them. The hyperoptimization is ridiculous! On the other hand, Zelda is a series near and dear to my heart, and I'm excited to see the ways in which the games can be broken and how far they can be pushed compared to my original experience. To say decide what is and what isn't a major title is kind of silly. Any title, big or small, has the potential to make a great TAS.

Well, there is the fact that Sonic Adventure 2 is a port...
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

Lol you are clearly upset. I didn't mean my tas is for a lack of better word more important than yours. Relax :) Scan dash = lock onto something with L, press B and then basically release the button as soon as possible to reach great amount of speed. See? We aren't completely useless and I am sorry for being off topic guys. Onwards with Wind Waker discussion.

The route is being worked on by me, wooferzfg, nap, and some other TWW people. It's a mixture of the current RTA route and the old TAS route, implementing rollclipping and getting the leaf before FF1.
