1) You fall OoB by jumping left while in paper mode, but it's kinda precise. It works because the left tree has been placed at an awkward distance from the left side of the screen, and there isn't enough space for Mario at certain spots. This means the tree can push you off the edge if you jump at the right angle in the right positon. 2) The clips work differently: this one is significantly easier, and you don't need to be in paper mode to do it. If you don't wanna go back for these that's understandable, it's your choice.

I would definitely consider going back if it saves enough time.

It's probably only 5 seconds max... If there was a way to do the first clip without paper hitbox glitch it would be more like 15 though. Don't know if it's possible.

Malleoz, I thought about an idea you could maybe test (or anyone else). I wonder if by playing the boat game in pianta parlor without having the boat ability you could get it. It's unlikely, but if it works it would skip Pirate Grotto and the backtracking to get the Toodles's card would be minimized with the General White chase.

I don't think you unlock the boat minigame until Chapter 7, so I don't think this'll work.

It doesn't matter if it's until chapter 7. I only need the boat ability to get to riddle tower. I'll test this when I get home from school in a couple of hours, along with the chapter 2 clip.

Finally I could got some free time to test it myself, though it was long because some triggers are stubborn, but it didn't work at all :p So it's not longer necessary to test it

I did some RTA timing on the chapter 2 stuff, and the strat after the Shadow Sirens saved three seconds optimally, and should save roughly the same in a TAS. The clips near Flurrie's house are quite inconsistent, so it just depends how fast you can get them.

I think I will go back for both. It adds more entertainment to the Chapter. I can hex edit the run back together over time, the exception being the Jabi fights though. I can get most of this patched up over the weekend, maybe get back to chapter 3 by mid next week I guess.

Really_Tall, I need you to elaborate on the Flurrie house timesaver EDIT: Tested these 2 glitches. The Flurrie house one only saved about 15 frames when I did it, so 30 frames in total...maybe a bit more. The Shadow Siren respawn saved like 13. Speed swap saves a majority of the time in these two sections, so I feel that under a second of improvements is definitely not something worth redoing 40+ minutes of in-game time for. I'd also most likely lose time from the Jabbi fights since good RNG is hard to manipulate there. Onward with Chapter 3! :D

I'm not sure if this has been answered yet, but with Ultra Hammer early, what happens if you enter the outpost far before you're supposed to (as in during chapters 3 or 4).

You can't do anything because you can't trigger the General White Hunt. I'll test if doing it later works, after you have Bobbery, though this would only skip a trip to the thousand year door.

Nope, you can't start the General White hunt until you do the 3-minute Frankly timer. I ran into this in my own first playthrough, never figured out that I had to go back and talk to Frankly (after the timer expired) to advance. You can go to Fahr Outpost, can't do anything until you do the timer and then General White hunt.

Watching again, I'm now curious what happens if you entered the champs room using the clipping glitch, and didn't have a hammer that can break through the vent. Would you get stuck, or could you still get out? 3. I wonder what new (minor) applications for Flurry superslide could there be with the different mechanics on (J)? Other than early ultra hammer I mean.

1. http://twitter.com/tasmalleo Changed handle. 2. You would softlock. 3. The only one I found is a 4 frame timesaver when exiting the item shop in Rogueport because it makes the path to Zess T less of a diagonal Pre-CH3. I didn't do this in my run though, so this a known improvement.
