As of r8775, the two second Audio error (Vib-Ribbon and others) is fixed.

If the problem is somehow related to Bios counting towards the frame count, I don't think judges would reject a BizHawk movie solely because it didn't skip the bios and thus become slower.

I don't see why the BIOS should be skipped.

When I initially asked about it, I was simply curious. I'll be perfectly okay with not skipping it too, since it looks powerful :)

If I ever go back to the Tenchu TAS, should I convert it from PSXjin to BizHawk? Or is it fine if I keep working on PSXjin?

I think you should use Bizhawk as most of the games can emulate it's graphics properly like in Abe's Oddysee the fire lights in the free fire zone don't have much of a square around them.

Are Yabuse and Octoshock cycle-accurate?

no. it isn't possible for a disc-based system to be cycle-accurate, as it isn't clear how long disc operations should take.

If vib-ribbon plays music, I assume CDDA playback works for all games?

What's CDDA? Also, Audio Playback does have some issues for Audio or Mixed Data Discs. https://code.google.com/p/bizhawk/issues/detail?id=372

Compact Disc Digital Audio (CDDA or CD-DA) is the standard format for audio compact discs. The standard is defined in the Red Book, one of a series of "Rainbow Books" (named for their binding colors) that contain the technical specifications for all CD formats.
It's fairly common in CD based games.

Has the audio been fixed yet? I notice the audio is not at the right frequency. It should be at 440hz and it sounds like 435hz or something.

Yeah. There must be a solution to change the audio frequency.

No, there must not be. I dont trust a guy who writes 440 and 435 instead of 44100 to know anything about what there "must be" in audio or to understand what he's hearing and dislikes well enough to judge what's needed to fix it. I'm sure you're hearing something you don't like though. Maybe you have perfect pitch and were using 440 as in A440 is sounding a bit flat? If so, that won't be believed unless A/B tested with hardware. Perhaps youre playing a PAL game and it sounds different or theres a pitch-related bug with that in the emulator. But your dataless conclusion jumping wont be accepted.

Hello friends, i need help: i'm record tool assisted movies of many emulators and i'm currently recording a PSX longplay with this emulator instead of PSXJin (is a good emulator, but have many bugs and incompatible games) and when I use the AVI Output to extract the PSX video from Bizhawk and the video came out totally black, I only see the audio but no video. What is going on I can not extract the video? The movie (bk2) synchs but i cannot see the video, only audio. I hope your answer and you can help me or teach me to extract the PSX video of this emulator! Thank you!
I love games and love to record videos (longplays). Visit my Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/xRavenXP

Try to record the video without changing the size. I had the same problem. PS: Recording a movie with Octoshock is not a good idea yet, as the development is not complete and future desyncs are possible.

Was it corrected in a later revision? Or is it still broken as of r9140+? Are you playing a Japanese, EU or US version?

It's still broken as of now (r9145); using the US version (TOCA Championship Racing, as it is named in the US)
