This game is a 7up-licensed version of an Othello-like board game called Ataxx/Infection.
This is the fastest solution I could find. I start off with the bottom right corner because the AI doesn't move the way I want him to if I start with the closer tile first.

Noxxa: Judging.
Noxxa: This is another run of a board game where the gameplay is not meaningfully changed from regular play, and depends again on bad decisions by the AI to be defeated as fast as possible. Additionally, the animations can be disabled, which would speed up the overall game by quite a bit, which means the run is suboptimal in time too. As a potential speed-entertainment tradeoff, the animations do not do enough to keep the run afloat. Rejecting.

There's a setting in the options menu to disable Spot's animations for each move. Any reason for not doing this?

It could be a speed/entertainment tradeoff, considering it's one of the only things that makes this game unique from standard board games :P

Just read, the credits can only be seen after the CPU has played itself. So fastest to credits would be a short run, just start a cpu game.

Random trivia, the AI on this game can be used to beat the AI in the Othello puzzle from the 7th Guest.
No.

... wow, that was... really something. That's quite different from Cool Spot, which would actually make a pretty awesome run. The animations for piece placement are silly enough to leave in, even if it costs time, but I don't know if I'd really call them entertaining. (However, I'd be curious if the AI manipulation changes without those animations.) Good job running another puzzle game with some manipulation, but I can't really recommend this for Moons.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. When I saw the title, I expected a video game adaptation of this. This was probably more interesting anyway. With the strategy and funny animations, I think this is good enough for Moons. (They would have to be turned off for it to be Vaulted anyway.) Voting Yes.
