Mission 1

Details

1.Throw the bombs to hit the heleport, 16 frames saved.S must shoot after the bombs over because S could shoot the object that bomb can hit. 16 frames saved

2.Hit the house faster. 27 frames saved.

3.Save one less hostage,and use the bomb to hit the hostage on the board using the smoke to hit boss in 2 frames for 100 instead of 4 frames for 1+100. 39 frames saved

Mission 2

this stage I planed three different experiments to comparate.And make sure how many bombs using in the boss battle.

1.At the beginning,save 1 bomb. 53F

2.Change the jumping point on the rail. 57F

3.Change the shoot timing. 76F

4.Use one more bomb hitting the tank and scroll. 92F

5.Use bomb and R crossing attack to hit the first boat. 156F

6.The 2nd boat destroyed. 192F

7.The third boat.At first I throw the bombs on the bridge but It is not better than getting down because the scrolling problem. 204F(Exp.real)/275F(Exp.Using 8 bombs)

8.After 3 boats.And the middle boss battle,fast throwing 4 bombs after 2F S hitting first.And control boss's movement to the right. 295F

9.Give up the slug to the boss.This stage must draw hostage,if not,it will take 67F in the counting step. 400F(Exp.real)/175F(Exp.less bombs)

400F in total

6.Boss over. 875F save 1 hostage is faster. After the scoring, 864F, 11F wasted.

Mission 4

1.save the hostage ,lag reducing 865F

2.Jump optimizing,to the boss 955F

3.Boss over 968F, 1 hostage is faster than 1 on 1.

Mission 5

1.Jump optimizing,to the first gate. 1024F

2.BOSS over. 1169F, 1 hostage is faster than 1 on 1.

Mission 6

Planed the bombs and S to the boss battle.

1.First Scene,kill the sodiers by jumping,manipulate luck to get S. 1237F

2.1st bridge battle 1279F.

3.2nd bridge battle,manipulate luck to get S,Lag reducing,fast time to use S. 1482F

4.Getting the bombs before boss battle will cost 30F,but will save 100F in the Boss battle. 2082F

I'm using FBA v0.2.97.28's romset (I don't remember how old it is, though), and the run syncs pretty well with it. No need to save states between missions, luckily. Talking about sync, I like how some stages end with a draw, but even when it doesn't, the small "dances" on waiting periods made me smile. So this a Yes from me.
I am old enough to know better, but not enough to do it.

Draw in the mission 2 can save 67 frames. But in the other stage great is faster than draw by 3-7F

Man, you don't let me enjoy my TAS enough ^^' First time experiment the fact to get obsoleted (after work a year on it like crazy), kinda frustrating but curious of the improvement. Those lag controlling was too hard for my skills...and make the run look more fluid and clean. Some ideas really enjoy me like bomb on 1st helicopter... Unfortunetly i haven't got much time free to TAS (and when i can, i work on an ACE one) so i can't start an improvement war...even if i'd like to put it under 10min... (the movie desync for me just before Morden in final mission) great job!

im trying to save a state inside a movie so i can keep recording it,how do i do it?i either can't save or keep recording it
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Always love to see Metal Slug TASes, well done x2poet. My only "problem" with them is that you can't have a run that save all the PoW (because of the frames lost at the end of a level) and having a category that does save them is a bit redundant to have XD

Emulator's glitch,I open the movie 10+ times and load savestates successfully only once.So it must be done with luck.

One person in the YouTube comments wonders why you didn't shoot down the fifth boss right away (from 7:07 to 7:26 in the YT encode):

I think it has to do with the 35 grenades thrown at the boss at the very beginning of the fight. There is also this excerpt from the submission text of the movie this one obsoleted:
Iron Nokana(hp:4100) is quite strange, you need to take 4090HP and wait for about 1200 frames to finish him.
