I want to load some .srm save files for SNES games in Bizhawk but it doesn't work. Is there any way to convert them?

Rename them with the extension '.SaveRAM' instead of '.srm' and place them in the SaveRAM directory.

That's exactly what I did first and it didn't work. I have an .smc rom called Super Mario World (U) [!].smc. I copied the Super Mario World (U) [!].srm save to the Bizhawk\SNES\SaveRAM folder. Then I loaded the .smc rom in Bizhawk and instead of a save with the game near completion, I have 3 empty saves. And the emulator created a Super Mario World (USA).SaveRAM with a different name than the .smc rom. Even renaming this new file to match the .smc rom name doesn't do anything.

this is the same procedure in every emulator. Let bizhawk create a .saveram. Close bizhawk and copy it off. Copy in your .srm and name it to what bizhawk created. Check that it's the same size as the .saveram bizhawk created. If it isn't, then there's going to be some problem. If it's the same size, then there wont be any problem. Now launch bizhawk, and the data will be there.
