So I'm familiar with Frame advance, but one question: do you use frame advance with the sound on or off? I usually do it with the sound off because my ADHD makes me think hearing sound one step at a time is annoying and grating, but for some games like Gemfire on NES I play with the sound on so I can hear things like cursor sounds to make sure input is registering. Also now that I'm learning to TAS with TASeditor instead of slowmo input (which is what I used to do), I find the rewind function really neat but also keep forgetting that TASing on this site requires savestates XD We all remember my Kirby Super Star Disaster Of 2013 :P

I always keep it on. I used to barely be able to tolerate hearing the sound FX and musical score blurting out a frame at a time, but now it's not a big deal. In some cases, it also nicely helps me in catching certain sounds like an enemy being hit at the earliest possible frame, or the solution to a certain puzzle being activated.

I always keep it on. [2] If it's off, I play badly and under the impression that something is wrong.

I always keep it on. [3] Sadly I have no idea of how to frame advance with sound on desmume, and it sucks because of that.

Keep it on, else you can't do things like dancing to music.

I usually have sound turned off altogether, and listening to music or something.

I keep sound on while frame advancing personally - it's too important to be able to hear what's going on. Certain things that might not immediately be visible on the screen can be heard by a sound cue instead.

I keep the sound on while frame advancing so I can be tuned in to the game. Plus, if I didn't, I'd be TASing in silence. It also helps me sync dances to the music and such.

I keep it on if the sounds aren't obnoxious while I do tas work. I like to link together the frames of sounds in my head and guessing what sound will be on the next frame is fun as well. I also use it as a frame counter in audio form to verify I'm on the right frames or if sound isn't right.
