Hello ! Here is Atlantica, the Eighth world. Link to video - I took 6 Crabclaws (as for Hollow Bastion, I won't use the Card of value 1 but, well, RNG). - I used Moggle Points to roll the RNG - The new Deck :
At the top : 5x (Divine Rose - Lady Luck - Crabclaw) Followed by 3x Blizzard 6x Fire 3x Blizzard 1x Hi-Potion 1x Ether And 1x Red Nocturne, 2x Blue Rhapsody, 1x Maleficient, 1x Hades
- About Ursula : I couldn't use Berzerk because 3 hits would have killed Sora and 2 hits aren't enough (and all her attacks deal the same amount of damage). So, I used Maleficient. - About Riku Replica : I had to try the whole battle about 10 times to get something fast enough (this one if 10 seconds faster than the first try). These 10 times include changing the menuing, jumping... I hope it's good enough ;)

Hello ! Here is (already) the Ninth world : Neverland. Link to video Not so much, this time : - RNG manipulation for the rooms' creations but it's easy and fast to do : each frame makes a different room. - Boss manipulation for Hook : he jumps straight into the Fire and he dies. If you have question, just ask ;).

Thank you ! He did a useful jump this time. Next world won't be long (only running to the end... Not even a boss) EDIT : Well, there is a boss : Vexen.

Nice! Yeah, vexen can be a pain in this game. Just gotta hope he doesn't cast auto-life. And being that this is tas, you don't have to worry about card breaks. So, you're using the beyond risky route? Because ghostwheel does have a guide on the risky route. [Edit] You are 1 hour ahead of ghostwheel! Off his RTA run on youtube.

Hello (when I said it was going to be fast :D) ! Here is the Tenth World : 100 Acre Wood. Link to video We don't care about Pooh in this route... So, I suppose he's crying alone (because we didn't find his friends). Vexen : I read his mind... And he almost didn't move and when he tried, I made him stop (his attacks stop his move... That's always useful). He has 1120 HP, Fire Raid (with Fire Boost) deals 375 HP, so doing it three times is enough. "Hopefully", he didn't cast (he didn't even try to) Auto-Life. InfamousKnight : well, the route is a mix between the 2 : I farmed a lot of cards in Traverse Town and I got the 1 Blue (all the Blue cards actually) in the first set of worlds (can't remember which one). But I don't take Thunder (for Thundaga). So, consider it as almost a new route (am I wrong, Ghostwheel ?)

Will watch these when I get the chance later tonight. For now I'll just say: -Vexen I can't use auto life, only Vexen 2 can. Pretty easy to manipulate this too, cause if he picks a different enemy card it won't go away fast enough. -As for the route, this was a brew I proposed years ago that was actually a variant on my old segmented route, assuming more luck and continuous segmenting. The risky Single Segment route came from the same place, but was only possible because of the work we did on figuring out moogle packs halfway into the run. I can't help but believe improvements are possible, but they wouldn't be appreciable, and I'd have to be a lot more knowledgeable as a TASer in the technical sense to figure them out. -That youtube video is horribly outdated. The time to beat is 2:24:02 these days.

Ghostwheel : Oh, well, yes, indeed (but I haven't the game "normally" for a long time, so I don't remember this kind of things). Yes, some parts can be optimized but changing them would change the rest of the TAS, so will it better or not ? I can't say without trying every possibility (and I don't have enough time or patience to do that). But your help (and support) is very very useful ;) (Tanks again). I'll try to come and see a live but I'm afraid our time zones are too far from each other. But here is a new world : Twilight Town ! Link to video - Basically running to the next door and choosing the best room possible (without losing frames, of course). - Vexie II : This time, he truly didn't try to cast Auto-Life :D. The battle is more or less identical to the previous (manipulation of his behavior). - Riku III : He loves Dark Firaga... But three Omnislash and 1 combo is enough (1 hit is enough but I couldn't touch it otherwise) ! If you have suggestions, just say ;)

Caught myself cheering for Vexen before I remembered that this is the Canon Universe :p Question: Is Omnislash really the fastest available method for taking down Riku III? It seems a bit... slow, I guess.

Well, it seems slow because Cloud moves very slowly BUT Riku Replica has very good stats (see : here). The only kind of useful attack is Physical (or Neutral) and Omnislash is full Physical. And one other important thing : with the Crescendo Card, 1 Omnislash deals 387 HP... So, against Riku Replica, it's faster than beating him with Keyblade (and you can watch this, it's the fastest way for Riku III, but having such good cards would take too long to farm). I hope it answers your question ! ;) I've never read the fanfictions, so I have a question, too : Why were you cheering for Vexie ? :D

Because of a specific fanfictions called Those Lacking Spines, in which the canon universe is literally under assault by bad writing, prompting Vexen, Xaldin, and Lexaeus to go save their comrades. :)

Yeah I'm even farther from Europe these days so I understand completely. Another good set of segments, by the way. Should be transitioning to endgame nicely.

Thank you, Pokota, I'll take a look :). Ghostwheel, I have a question : what is the best strategy against Darkside ? Is it Omnislashes and Berserk (its stats make me say that) or am I wrong ? For me, your streams begin at around 12pm... It's way too late (but maybe during holidays ? :D)

Omnislash is good against the face, especially with summon boost, but berserk is also really nice as long as you can manipulate darkside to attack quickly. You can break both the attacks where he throws energy balls and get a combo in using the card you broke him with, and get 3 combos in when he spawns shadows. In an RTA you can't kill him in 30 attacks, but being more efficient (by being able to manipulate and predict the values of the cards on the energy ball attacks) and having better keys should clear this problem up. My money is on berserk, but you'll have to test omnislash and overdrive too because having to take damage throws off the numbers. Judgment is only used here so it is probably slower to pick up Aeros in the long run and make a new deck

I'm having trouble using your latest wip download. What settings are you using? And what emulator?

I'm using VBA-RR v24 svn480 and no particular settings (Accurate Emulation Speed and Allow Left+Right/Up+Down is on).

Just so that everyone knows, I'm not putting effort into the final battles. I will avoid card breaks and use somewhat reasonable strategies, but my main focus is rikus story line. That shall be fun.

Hello everyone ! Here is the first part of the Twelfth World : Destiny Islands. Link to video So :
Running, running and running Darkside : Berserk is faster than Omnislash... Actually, I haven't enough cards to finish the battle but I had around 500 frames to empty the last life bar, and it's impossible. 30 cards aren't enough in TAS either. This boss can barely be manipulated : only when Sora is hit. Riku Replica IV : it was quite a hard battle with 0 cards and his sleights. The end is slow, but it's the best I could do. Do you have any suggestions ?
Do you see anything to change ? I'll do Larxene when I'm sure Darkside and Riku are fine.

As for the riku replica iv, I've noticed that ghostwheel used the darkside card to fix that issue with zero cards that riku possesses. You might want to look into it.

Question about the Darkside fight. I don't have everything with me right now so I can't test it myself. When you reloaded your cards for the final 4 hits, could you have hit him sooner if you charged during the downtime from waiting for Darkside to attack first? It looked like you attacked as soon as the cards were finished reloading so you could've attacked sooner if you reloaded sooner.

Zanoab : Indeed, thanks a lot ! I spared about 100 frames by reloading sooner (and updating the end of the battle). So, thank you... And it changed Riku's pattern (now, he loves Dark Aura...). InfamousKnight : I'll take a look. Thanks ;)
