Huh? Why is tha..... OOOOOHHHHHHHHH MY GOSH! I feel so dumb now. Well I hope this syncs to you: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/22739286901774644 Well solarplex, this might be the last microgame you'll do in this TAS. Lately I've seen you're busier than usual, so I'll take care of this project alone from here. It's been fun to work with you good sir... and thank you.

I dunno man. maybe its my machine nowadays. Whatever you do, its still ending at the same part. Have you watched it all the way through? If yours doesn't mess up, i'll figure out what to do next to fix up the desync.

I came across this while researching some memory corruption glitches (I assume they are according to some addresses): I basically did the exact thing as I did on real hardware, but this showed up instead of a music note loop. What I did is I dragged the jackhammer to the river, and while on it, I clicked on the glitched item box. ais523 told me it was an overflow handler (whatever that is), but I thought it was worth checking out. Also tried other glitches with puffles, but my emulator crashed... like 5 times. I need we need to go deeper guys, I have a good feeling about this. Feel free to research with me as well. :)

H-hello guys... I was trying some routes if whatever I find new glitches for a v2 run, until... I found one. A BIG one... I feel like a fucking dumbass. Basically it's a massive route improvement in Mission 9. I overlooked this and I want to apologize. Remember that long search for Herbert's balloon in the Island before going to the Wilderness? I can skip all that crap. How? Well... by just going to the Wilderness right away... I don't know why this works, but it does. Potentially saves 30 seconds, not kidding, so sub 28 is now possible. Um... new submission hype..? yay... T_T

I found a new time-saver in Mission 1. Now it's possible to skip the jackhammer building microgame! When you drag the jackhammer to the river, inmedeately(wrong word) use the gadget menu and click on the objectives option and then close that screen. You'll recieve the fixed jackhammer instantly! Potentially saves 7 or 10 seconds I think. BTW, updating in my research, using Blast (red puffle) on a crate in the training room while talking to an NPC, the puffle will be able to corrupt memory and despawn the said NPC you talked to, skipping text scripts for a certain scene while getting the jet-broomstick altoghether. I still haven't figured out if it is faster to corrupt memory to skip said text or not, I'm still not there just yet.

Found another crash: Link to video This only works with the Snake Token gadget, which is obtained after you collected all Snake Tokens in all PSA Missions of the game, so dirty SRAM/NG+ is required. Also note that this crash can also happen on real DS hardware, so it's not an emulation bug or anything. This is practically useless, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

this is probably my new favorite softlock: Link to video As a sidenote, there's another glitch in Mission 7 where on the room before the ladder in the corn maze, while doing the original TAS, I used the white puffle on the river and somehow I managed to click on Rookie while the puffle was making the bridge. After doing that... DeSmuME of all things crashed. I have no idea why this happened or how, but it was very interesting somehow.

Link to video This is the glitch where I mentioned this image: Here's an input file where the glitch is performed on DeSmuME: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/30197858251727937 Yeah, I think this is an emulation bug, but I'm still not sure.

Bump: I'm still trying to do the jackhammer skip without using the old TAS movie file, but I still somehow can't do it... same thing with doing it on real hardware... hmm... I wonder what's going on there.

Was this something you did on a previous version of DeSmuME? If so, the glitch may have only existed due to inaccurate emulation or something. Just my guess, I don't know much about DS emulation.
