Hello and welcome to Skykingcst's noobatorium. I am Skykingcst. After watching numerous TAS's I decided in the spirit of competition to begin TASing as well. Not thinking this decision all the way through I stumbled and chose Super Monkey Ball Jr. I saw that there was (although not on this site) already a TAS for the 5 Master dificulty stages but not for the rest of the game, so I decided this run would cover all 4 difficulties in as short a time as possible. So my question is should I need to complete the Bonus Levels at the end of each difficulty? Its not like I'm doing a 100% clear since I'm already using warps to skip levels. Or perhaps it would be better to just forego the warps in lieu of a 100% run? Regardless of the decision here is my WiP: http://www.mediafire.com/?8y6nc4tpzdv6xxe Edit:Would it still constitute a 100% run, even if I use the warps, as long as I complete every difficulty?

A warpless run is considered "100%" by most people. If the run uses warps, then it gets the tag "Uses warps" As for the bonus levels, I am not sure if you mean "Extra." Extra levels should be done as they are levels as well. Can anyone else weigh in here? Edit: I would like to see Gamecube version due to better graphics but that's just me. Edit2: I can't get this run to sync. My ROM seems to be good, but the run desyncs in the menu then the game plays and then goes to "gameover"
When TAS does Quake 1, SDA will declare war. The Prince doth arrive he doth please.

I tried running this in VBAv24 and it does desync in the menu. I guess I should have mentioned I recorded it on VBA-Mv24:http://code.google.com/p/vba-rerecording/downloads/detail?name=vba-v24m-svn-r422.7z&can=2&q= Also thank you for the insight on warps v 100%. I suppose I should make the 100%. At the very least it'll keep me busy a while longer. Edit: In whoever-reads-this's opinion, Which VBA version should I be using? Or does it not matter?

I'm using VBA Rerecording 21 for my warpless 100% run because it's what I'm most familiar with but I suppose whatever works best for you. I personally don't think bonus levels need to be completed. For anyone who doesn't know the game well, bonus levels are just chances between "normal" levels to get extra bananas. If you fall off right away without collecting all of the bananas it says "Bonus Finish" and allows you to continue on to the next level. Also, good luck with your run! If you choose to do a run with warps maybe we can have both of our runs published ;P

Hey! Silverbawxer (a big runner of this game, also cooperating with me for the Touch&Roll TAS) did a Master TAS. He started progress on an EX (expert) tas, but it has been temporarily dropped. With that said, here is EX 1 to 10. Link to video I might be starting work on this relatively soon (as a small sideproject to Touch&Roll), so that is why I'm posting here.
