Can you hard reset on desmume? I'm researching a SRAM glitch on The Legendary Starfy, and when I soft reset, I can't go much further than a glitched suspend save, but when I close the ROM and open it once again, now I can get to the file select screen. Is there any way to perform a hard reset when recording a movie?

As far as I remember, desmume's "reset" from the menu is a hard reset. There is no soft reset unless the game supports a button combination to reset itself. I don't like hard resets because all intro screens (such as the DS' intro and menu screens) are skipped on emulator whereas you have to go through them on the real console. The time taken to go through those things would be added to a console speedrun's time but not to the TAS time, which feels wrong.
