The first one. I'm making this because the first game is much less of a pain in the ass to optimize than Burnout 2, where literally every millimeter of air time counts. In this game, there aren't really any (non-broken) air physics to speak of.
RTSers of this game generally go for an all Grand-Prix run, which will also be the goal of the TAS run, should I choose to go ahead with it. Timing starts when you hit A on the first Confirm screen and ends on the "You have completed Burnout!" screen.

Speaking of broken air physics, there are some weird entertainment opportunities that allow you to drive on two wheels for a short time in exchange for a loss in speed. Worth it? Absolutely!
