Having desync problems? Why not use the ds version of this game? Its the same game, just scaled-down. Has anyone even thought of that idea yet?

I get the distinct feeling you've never played metroid prime/hunters, or you wouldn't say something so blatantly incorrect.

I have not, but from a glance, it doesn't look too different.

Completely different games. One focuses on exploration and getting upgrades (Metroid Prime, Gamecube). One focuses on shooting (i.e. first-person shooter) (Metroid Prime Hunter, DS). Graphics is a world of difference apart. We're talking a specific game here. It wouldn't be fair to substitute another game. It's not the same. It's not a port.

You could have at the very least checked on wikipedia if Metroid Prime Hunters was indeed a port of Metroid Prime or not. Or, you could have avoided to talk about things you don't know. You are not alone, many politicians do the same, and you can do better than them.

Its not *completely* different. Its the same series, and same gameplay. The only major differences are the focus and the story and overall complexity. Aside from those 4 things, not much. I think we all pretty much care about the action rather than going around looking for items to kill the next boss. Using a fast route. Get a grip guys..

No, exploring is what makes Metroid Prime. Exploring is equally important to killing the bosses.

Ignoring that both games have completely different mechanics, movement, tricks and glitches and TASes of both games would look absolutely different.

Oh good news everyone! I actually finished the TAS back in December with the help of THC98 co-authoring!! We couldn't seem to find any big breaks in the gamecube version of Metroid Prime that could bring the time down to under 30 minutes, so we used the gamecube version of Sonic Adventure 2 instead. It's not completely different, they're both video games. Link to video
