I've extracted the FileSystem of a game i've been glitch hunting in lately. There are a lot of settings in a config file that you don't have access to in the regular game. Lots of options like Debug mode and visible hitboxes which would make finding new glitches a lot easier. I'm able to edit these settings in the Extracted files but those files aren't in an ISO any more, so Dolphin can't open them. I've tried using tools like the Gamecube ISO tool to re-pack the files into an ISO but Dolphin won't open those ISOs. I've also used other generic programs but the ISOs don't appear to be the same type. All i want is to be able to change a few settings in one of the files for the game. Is there a convenient way to do that?

I've seen people like Abahbob doing some texture and actor hacking in Zelda Wind Waker. And some years ago, I used some tools to extract ISOs, in order to look at the maps of Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker in a map viewer. Tools I needed to use: - sztools - I don't know what this does - gcr v1.0 - to extract ISOs - Wind Viewer - to look at .rarc and .arc files of Wind Waker - ??? - to look at ??? files of Mario sunshine (I don't have that viewer anymore) - ??? possibly more tools that I don't remember

There are two ways to edit a game and then run it in Dolphin. The first one is to use a program like gcr, as mentioned earlier. The second is to make Dolphin treat a directory of files as a disc image. It's a bit annoying to set up, and I don't think it works with all games, but it's very practical when it works if you need to make changes to the game often. First, you need to extract the apploader, the DOL, and all the files of the file system. You then need to go to Config > Paths and set DVD Root and Apploader to where you saved the file system and apploader. Finally, launch the DOL in Dolphin to start the game.
