Hi Everybody! I'm new to this fantastic emulator but I was trying to load a Libretro core as specified in the section Bizhawk / Libretro with the option load advanced and when trying select the dll fba arcade (32 bits) from the cores directory of Retroarch, BizHawk crashes . I put all the redist dlls in the BizHawk directory also so I don't know what I'm doing wrong... My system is win 7 64 bits with all the prerequisites installed. Any idea? Thanks a lot!

Thanks ZeroMus! I know that link , that is what I was refering in my message when I said "as specified in the section Bizhawk / Libretro " ... Is there something I'm missing ? Is really working the load advanced option of Libretro with the last version of Bizhawk? Also one strange thing is that in the link says 'put the libretro core in the directory bizhawk/libretro/cores' but with the latest release of bizhawk binaries there is not a directory with that name! Thanks a lot!

Strange? If it's not there, make it. I just launched TMNT in fba_libretro.dll in bizhawk 1.11.6. Some games may crash fba_libretro.dll, who knows? The cores are generally extremely flaky.

The crashings continues, any libretro core I open with load advanced EmuHawk crashes...This only happens with the libretro cores, with the Bizhawk emulators the roms are loading and executing ok. Btw, I don't know if this has to do with my system being win 7 64 bits. :(

It has nothing to do with your system being 64bits, assuming youre using the 32bit retroarch. For a guy who hadnt followed the instructions on which directory to place the dlls in, I have to wonder if theres other instructions you hadn't followed. Also any particular game may crash any particular core (especially on arcade), so try several. cat-sfc I believe is relatively simple and stable. You should also try TMNT in FBA

Yeah, surely is my fault , but was asking if someone had experienced the same kind of problems ... Sorry to bother you.

OK I found the issue, copying all the dlls from the directory dll into the root of the Bizhawk installation did the trick.Surely I forgot to read that part of the installation instructions. I let this explanation here for any other poor guy experiencing the same problems...
