Hey, I've been fiddling around with TASing Ape Escape, and here's the thing: When the game boots up, as it moves through the logos and such, the window changes resolutions 7 or 8 times for whatever reason, and trying to record an avi file off of it splits it up into a bunch of videos because of that. I'm just wondering if this is normal, or if it will affect a TAS to make it unable to be submitted. Also, I'm not sure if it's just me, but I tried using version 1.11.6, and the PSX virtual pad was unusable. It would load, but half the analog inputs weren't showing, and if I tried to use it, it would give me an error and crash the virtual pad. I tried looking for some options to see if something was wrong there, but there weren't any options. Was something changed there that made it stop working? Thanks.

So long as the TAS plays back properly, and it follows the site's rules, you are fine. The Analog Functions on the Virtual Pad, is a confirmed issue. It appears to be an issue with the right analog stick's Maximum and Minimum numeric Up and Down values.
When TAS does Quake 1, SDA will declare war. The Prince doth arrive he doth please.

You might want to change the PSX > Options > Resolution Management. The hardcore debug mode, for instance, makes the window change constantly. Test every one of them and see what is better for your purposes.
