Would a speedrun on this game be interesting/entertaining?

The game has 99 races so the movie would be very long. It is very hard to estimate when to use nitros and when not to. If you don't want to play the whole game, you can only play the qualification section (the first 14 races) or you can play single races with full upgrades and 99 nitros. There are 8 different circuits and you can play them clockwise or counterclockwise. I suppose that the latest hack of famtasia can record movies starting from a save state.

Well, first 14 stages could be cool to see. In my head it is a hard game so it would be cool to see. However, I will not make this one.

This is one of the only games I play with my brothers nowadays. I actually beat this game today before I saw this thread. There are some things that might be controversial. For example if you let a computer driver to win a race where you would have to waste a lot of nitros to win it so that you can win a slower race faster with more nitros. I wouldn't accept losing races for faster time. It is almost like using death for a shortcut If someone want to do this game let me know so I can give them a few hints.

I still don't quite understand the adverse attitude towards using death as a shortcut. If it saves time, it saves time. Taking damage to save time is not frowned upon, so why is death?

I never understood that either. Sacrificing life to gain speed looks skilled.

In my opinion, death should be okay as a shortcut if you have lives in the game. Like the Mario games, you die, you have an extra life. But in games like Zelda wheere if you die, it's basically game over and you have to "continue" then it's not OK. In this case I think it wouldn't even be dying so it doesn't matter, but there should still be a way to win all races (make the winning car push you or something if you can't get enough speed on your own!). Though I really don't know enough about the game to comment on that.

Winning all the races should be a matter of course. The movie wouldn't look at all as impressive if you lose one race even if one knows it is made on purpose. To win all the races (of the qualification(14 races)) is not impossible. I have made it with my nes many times. The thing is that sometimes it is faster in the long run not to try to win a race but save some nitros for the next race. This game has very much different strategies because of the upgrades and the nitros. I hope there will be a Super Off-Road time attack competition some day because that often guarantees a good movie.
