Hey all,
I host Twitch Plays Paper Mario and recently switched from PJ64 to BizHawk for its stability. It's great! There have been no crashes yet and the experience has been better for everyone.
I'm having a problem with the joystick though. It seems that when Biz gets a directional input close to but not exactly one of the eight primary directions (up, down, up-right, etc), it "snaps" to that direction. So, for example, assuming we call up-right 45 degrees, an input of 43 degrees gets interpreted as 45 degrees. This makes some glitches people are trying to do (log skip, BHS) difficult or impossible.
This happens with both my virtual joystick (implemented using vJoy) and a Gamecube controller (using a Mayflash adapter), and the issue doesn't happen with PJ64. So I don't think the controller itself is the issue. What's odd, too, is that when I use the TAS input menu in BizHawk everything works fine - there's no snapping.
Hopefully I'm just missing some config option. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you!
