It seems Famtasia does have separate resources for the Japanese and English versions. The following patch should fix both versions:
Ok, the slider patch is now also available in the Famtasia 5.1 Patch Vending Machine.

Open Source and Free Software are separate movements. http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-software-for-freedom.html

Because "open source" does not imply rights to do anything with the program. It only tells that you have a read-access to the source. An "open source" program could have all kinds of limitations to what you can do with it. They could deny you reusing the source anywhere or even compiling your own versions. They could say that whatever modifications you do, you must submit back to them. And so on. "Free software" means that you can do anything you want except decrease the freedoms or a copyright violation.

Yeah, I guess that that's true. They should have a word other than free though. Gets confusing

Howdy, first time I raise my voice in this thread. To be honest im not much of a "hacker" or programmer at all. I just enjoy playing and sometimes im actually good at it. Anyways, I tried the 60fps patch but I can´t get it to work. What is the problem? I downloaded it, "installed" it in the same map as Famtasia.exe. Now when I try to run it I can´t decrease my emulator speed. As soon as I go under 100% the emulator crashes. Is there something I have missed? Did I had the proper patch? Can I do something to avoid it? Really thankful for help.

Try editing your famtasia.ini with a text editor. Here are the settings in my .ini file:
[Speed]
DrawFrame=1
ExecSpeed=100
Occupation=1
Benchmark=0
AutoFrame=0
FullSpeed=0
With these settings, I can set the execution speed to whatever I want. I hope this helps.

Yes it did! Thanks alot Blip. Now, do I have to do something to get it to show all 60fps or is it automatical? Guess it´s a kinda stupid question but just to be sure ;P Thanks again man!

If you use the settings I gave above, then you will have 60fps. To get technical, if "Occupation" and "DrawFrame" are both set to 1 in the .ini, you will have 60fps. Have fun!

Wow. This is very cool. With this 60fps version I was able to make the Ufouria timeattack I always wanted. In the unpatched version it would always desync in less than a minute, very annoying to say the least. blip, you are a genius, thank you very much.
