http://www.libretro.com/index.php/first-ever-revolutionary-n64-vulkan-emulator-coming-soon-only-for-libretro-parallei/ is this the right section for these news? will it help our TASing in the future?
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Hm... my laptop might even be able to run this. Under linux though, as there's no plans for Windows Drivers for my core. No guarantee though given the whole intel integrated chip issue.

Wow N64 is seeing a lot of advancements recently, which is good to see. I'm also surprised how 2 completely different approaches have both been very successful, pretty interesting to watch.

I don't think my laptop can do this. I have a Nvidia 630M. Generally the 600 can do this, but I think the Mseries is based off previous architecture. Sad day for me.

Vulkan supports Geforce 400 and newer. DirectX 12 I believe requires a Geforce 600 or newer.

Wikipedia says the 400 and 500 series aren't supported: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulkan_%28API%29#Compatibility

Well, Mesa 12.x is in Debian Experimental as of the 16th, so I will - eventually - be able to attempt running this on my laptop. Desktop is a permanent no-go.

Huh, okay then. Maybe they were gonna have vulkan support but then Nvidia changed their mind.
