Ah, okay. That makes the most sense anyway, given the similarity between the runs' routes. Plus, if the published run is below the site's current optimization standards, that would probably be a good reason to obsolete it.

I noticed that the new run didn't actually obsolete the existing one. Any thought of submitting the any% version, Samsara?

Possibly, though it wouldn't be for a while. I started refashioning my run into an any% run once I heard the verdict, but I realized that I wouldn't be happy with submitting a run that's almost completely identical.

Idea for any% in case I ever get around to it: If I can keep the shotgun from Stage 6 and keep it through to the final boss, I can hit it about a second earlier per shot. Time may be lost trying to conserve shots, but if it's less than a second per shot it should still result in a time save.

I like to comment on submissions and look around the site. You have probably seen me before (if you have been around for a while) either on the site, Discord, or any other social media. I recently took up making temporary encodes for new submissions. Also, I never forget to greet Tompa wherever I find him! "when resyncing stuff sucks it's called Resuccing" - EZGames69 “If an emulator stops being accepted to the site it should be called an emuLAMEr” - EZGames69 "oh no discord, everything I say will now be logged forever, sdfsdf, time to hide" - Masterjun "just had to give therapy to a taxi with daddy issues" - psx Current Projects: Mother 3 (75% complete)

167 frame improvement found from resetting and continuing. Since the earliest you can start the game is Frame 11, we can press start, reset, and then 11 frames later, press continue This skips the textbox entirely, we don't even need to press A to go past it, the character doesn't look left then right a few times. We gain control immediately. This in total saves 167 frames.
