Opening this topic for the lovers of Mega Man Zero series. Mega Man Zero series is possible the best and the hardest of the Mega Man, with well-written story, difficult boss and awesome final boss. After I finded the ROM of the Mega Man Zero Collection, I thinked "Damn, it would be nice a TAS of this game". No, I don't know how TAS but I'm still trying. If anyone can be so awesome to TAS this game or know glitches, post them here!

Are there any significant differences between the games in the collection and [movie 1844]the[/movie] [movie 1589]original[/movie] [movie 1749]GBA[/movie] [movie 1287]games[/movie]? I'd think working on a run of those games would be preferable in most cases than working from a compilation ROM.

Well, with the "Easy Scenario" of Zero Collection, you can play the 4 games successively. A TAS will make it really interesting, beating the games in the fastest way.

Because Easy Scenario gives you a lot of equipment that you generally have to earn or collect first and a maxed out health bar, it might be interesting to see. At the same time though if you were to make each game all missions run, that would come in at about 3 hours, and maybe around 2h45m if you were to do Mega Man Zero with the mission skip route. Not to mention that either of those would really feel like watching all 4 runs consecutively, because even with having the best equipment from the start, I would imagine it would use all of the same strategies as the independent runs.
My user name is rather long, feel free to call me by htwt or tape.

It'd be almost exactly the same to just seeing the Zero 1, 2, 3 and 4 TASes in succession because there are hardly any differences - not even fancy second screen stuff, other than some artwork popping up at the bottom screen. The only difference between this and the individual GBA games would be the fact that it's played on "easy" mode, which is generally frowned upon for use on TASes. I don't see any reason for doing a TAS on the Collection version.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

I'm actually working on a LOTAD of the easy mode collections run, showing off movement and combos. so, a swag run so to speak, something between an LP and a TAS, my goal is to show people who are not familiar with TAS's or speedruns in general to have something "cool" to watch. I might be crazy for thinking this, but, at least I'm not alone in the idea of TASing the entire collection on easy mode. I also know that with command inputs, you can do charged attacks without charging very easily in a tool assisted environment. So, the value o the collections on easy would be it would look impressive to those vergin to the speedrunning scene, and especially vergin to the TAS scene, it would be like a gateway to expand the community.

Since you start with all equipments in Easy Scenario, it's a great idea to showoff some elves that would never be seen in any% runs of the original games. The biggest issue with this game is that you can't skip credits after finishing the first 3 games.

the games in which you level up(zero1 and zero2) might benefit but the rest will be redundant,if not worse, for sure(easy mode might ruin zero4 with the ex/weather system)
TAS i'm interested: megaman series: mmbn1 all chips, mmx3 any% psx glitched fighting games with speed goals in general
