Aha! So there was a reason for it ;) Anyhow. I'd still love to see something else but the floor, even though it might be slightly faster. I was actually amazed over that when I played the game, how similiar some areas are to the movie. For example the stairs in the second level when entering the last room where Trevalyan is. The stairs are the same!
Yeah, I never dug looking at the floor. I don't think the memorization of the levels without seeing them is really skill so much as die-hard fanboyism. I probably would have competed in human speed run competition of the game if it wasn't for the looking at the floor aspect.

Maybe I should update my farewell with a list of N64 games. :P This is an exciting frontier...
A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.

derail: I remember renting it and getting every pokemon into their league of champions by using my 3 powerhouse monsters against the elite four. what a shoddy attempt to make money on kids...

Oh, I definitely vote for Starcraft 64. The controls suck on the original N64, but with slowdowns and whatnot you could manipulate luck and micro a lot. Would be pretty interesting, I think. Another idea would be the "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater"s. I think there are three of them on the N64. You could pull off some amazingly ridiculus stunts. Also maybe Pilotwings 64. Maybe someone could do Superman 64, just so no one ever has to play that game again.

Starcraft 64 - There was a lot of talk about speedrunning this for computer, but now you can actually manipulate luck? Imagine perfect micro, perfect macro, perfect everything. A must see, I would believe. Mario 64 - No real explanation needed. The author could also do an array of glitches with this game to make it faster (16 star run?). Goldeneye 64 - A lot of planning I presume. It would be cool to see someone with perfect aim and ect though. Quest 64 - A really short game, and one of the first RPGs on the 64 I believe. Not really a good game, but I think it would be decent for a time attack. Zelda (OoT and MM) - Although these would be VERY long speedruns, I think they could turn out very nicely.

Hm, I bet you could find a lot of seams and stuff to slip through with retries.

Oh, come on. Paper Mario, ya heathens! Pokemon Snap CAN'T be run, as there's a graphical glitch that prevents photos from being seen. Technically you can advance, but it's kinda hard to when it's impossible to see what photos you're taking. I suppose this could be dealt with with slowdown, but still. As for what I'd personally like seeing... I'm all for both Goemon games (I Am Impact still kicks ass) Banjo Kazooie AND Tooie (despite the later having a frame rate sorry enough to make Superman 64 blush) ... Superman 64. >.> C'mon! Someone has to! Nmaa~...I'm not really up for Goldeneye and Perfect Dark runs, despite loving both games back in the day. I dunno, it's kinda hard to THAT great on an FPS. Someone, by all means, prove me wrong. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask have become ridiculously boring to me, though I WOULD sit up and pay notice to a Master Quest run. I'm sure someone in the chat mentioned finding a working rom for it, so it exists somewhere out there. Pilotwings deserves it, just because it's Pilotwings. Bomberman games... I'd suggest the San Fransisco Rush series, getting all ...whatever-you-collected... but NONE of the three games emulates right in PJ64. ;_; Excitebike 64 does, however, if anyone ever wanted to give that a run. I'm up for the Tony Hawk games, too. I know the first emulates properly, as I grabbed and tested it this morning, (And I would've kept it if PJ accepted my button config... >< Despite setting it, it forced them onto the right analog. Ever try dual analogging Tony Hawk?) but I can't speak for the other(s) on the system. Quest 64 cannot physically be made interesting, no matter what. >.> Donkey Kong 64 needs one. The damn wasn't that great, but it was still pretty. I also wouldn't mind seeing some of those great old wrestling games get run. Y'know, just for fun's sake. Same reason I think Smash Brothers runs would be amusing. Mischief Makers certainly deserves it. The Army Men games, while awful, would fall under the "Bad game looks cool when played well" category. Gex, anyone? Resident Evil 2, maybe? Shadows of the Empire! So many games... But, as with the GBA, probably not a whole lot of interest. :/ As a side note, anyone who runs the Extreme G games will get cookies. ...And anyone, ANYONE, who runs a South Park game (Be it the FPS or the weird and awful racer) gets their own frigin' bronze statue for guts.

Wrestling games was not that good to watch really. :) I made Royal Rumble for SNES as my first submission. Took only a couple of minutes. :) It's not fun to watch unless you are really into these kinds of games.

In addition to the ones mentioned, I think that Jet Force Gemini and Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire could be interesting. Though I don't know how you're supposed to be frame perfect with a system that uses an analog stick. . . ? But basically, the it games for the N64 runs would be Mario 64 and Goldeneye/Perfect Dark.

on the newest version of PJ64, i believe doom 64 is emulated perfectly. if this is feasible, i absolutely would love to see this game done well.

Keep in mind that the main issue here is the graphics plugin. For instance, if you try playing Ogre Battle 64 you'll probably notice that the graphics are all screwed up. But if you use exactly the right graphics plugin with the right settings enabled, the graphics will be fine. (In this example, I've only had success with Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6 with "Use Direct3D transformation pipeline" enabled - all other graphics plugins/settings I've tried have failed with it.) For another example, Paper Mario will flicker badly with (I think) all graphics plugins, but some plugins have options in them to fix the flicker. There are many many graphics plugins with many settings to choose from, so it might be hard to find a perfect match for each game, but for most games it's not impossible. Also, some games might emulate correctly but only at unreasonably slow speeds. But this shouldn't actually pose much of a problem if you would be using slow-motion anyway, except to make viewing/encoding it later take longer. If the actual emulation is bad, that probably means the game will always crash before it gets very far (which used to happen a lot, but I haven't seen it happen yet with any recent versions of emulators, not that I've tested very many games yet). edit: as for N64 games, I agree with almost all of the suggestions here (especially Mario 64 and Mischief Makers).
