This run beats Bowser about 43 seconds (47 seconds if you exclude the GBA BIOS intro) faster than the previous run, mainly due to abuse of the Save&Quit feature and better execution.

Finally I managed to make a good run of this game. You see, I tried multiple times in the past but always backed off because it seemed really tedious. But this time it was a breeze! Almost every room has been improved. I also recently found that you could save&quit on the pause screen, and resume gameplay almost immediately afterwards. Doing this while collecting Star Keys or while inserting Star Keys in the Bowser map skips cutscenes and lets you move on quicker. This is the major time saver in this run.

Miscellaneous

The desert boss music is pretty good!
And I hope someone makes a 35 star run.

Masterjun: Hah, what a nice April Fools submission! This was a funny TAS! Alright then, rejec-
Hold on this is an actual good run with awesome optimizations. The Save&Quit to skip cutscenes really improves on the entertainment and certainly makes things faster. Accepting for Moons as an improvement to the previous run!

I have no idea why I never heard about this game, it's so good, the OST is amazing, and this is such a nice TAS! Good job, MUGG!
Games are basically math with a visual representation of this math, that's why I make the scripts, to re-see games as math. My things: YouTube, GitHub, Pastebin, Twitter

Comparison video (Thanks Aktan !!!!!) There are still some problems that I didn't bother to fix but I'm glad to make my first comparison video. Maybe I will keep making them when I finish runs in the future. Link to video

Two Three things I should mention: * Possible improvement: After inserting the keys, three flyguys appear and one of them blocks the way so I shoot him down. But it seems there is 1 star in this room that you could get if you kill the other two flyguys, which might be faster than some other star in the current route. * I'm currently working on a map for 100% which I will post in the game topic later. * You could add the movie objective "foregoes time-saving death" because killing Mario would cut down on bob-ombs in the bonus game at the end, but I deliberately chose not to do this. I think cetaka back in 2010 went for fastest "the end" screen. I just wanted to go for fastest bowser kill. I'm sure you could argue which is the best set of objectives (actually playing the bonus game vs. wasting all the bombs & killing mario vs. not killing him) and there might be room for future runs where the runner will get to choose which objectives they want.
