My client, an educator and part-time tutor, is looking to me to compile a list of educational songs for YouTube playlists on their website. They prefer song parodies but will take original material as well - except, as mentioned before, Schoolhouse Rock. While I absolutely love the show and it's very near and dear to my heart, Schoolhouse Rock songs are UMG protected and get taken down really easily. The client is looking for YouTube videos of mnemonic (i.e. easy memory trick) songs on the following subjects (can be aimed at any skill level, from kindergarten up to post-graduate/doctorate): - math (sub-categories multiplication tables, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, fractions, statistics and probability, equations, geometry, surface area and volume) - science (chemistry/periodic elements in particular, astronomy, physics) - English - history - geography - music theory - American standardized testing prep (especially MCAT and SAT) I have compiled 57 videos so far (and yes, I already have some obvious ones like Tom Lehrer's periodic table song and the Animaniacs "Nations of the World" song) but I'm always looking for outside suggestions with only two rules: - the song must be in English - if I see another goddamn Frozen parody I am going to kill you (just kidding, but please don't send any more. I already have a few to satisfy the client and managed to convince them not put in any more) Any links would be greatly appreciated :)

You probably already have acapella science, but if you don't: https://www.youtube.com/user/acapellascience Two of my favorites: Link to video Link to video Also if you could provide a link to your playlist, that would help us not suggest duplicates.

I did, but I somehow missed that Circle of Light one. Thanks! As requested by the client, there are several playlists separated by subject, but here goes:

One of my absolute favorites from SchoolHouse Rock is "Absolutely None Of Them" from "I Freaking Hated SchoolHouse Rock in School". Seriously though. I hated SHR. Immensely forgettable characters you can't even remember the name of, ridiculous senseless plots for most of the school subjects they showed even though they were for the song's purposes, songs that spent a long time talking about a subject that took four minutes to learn something about, and to top it all off, cringe-worthy animations and settings, character voice acting and traits (I remember one kid in a song about using onomatopeia properly that rhymed everything he said Dr. Seuss style), and each time it went to another song some 40-year old man's voice annoyingly uses a pun to tell you what the next song's about. Wake up, school boards! It's understandable that 3rd graders and such typically require this sort of thing, but as I got older this was the exposure to 7th graders! I'm talking students old enough to know what cocaine was and they were watching this in place of assignments! Ugh.
A wise man once said "Damn, that's one hell of a steak."
