I am probably going to start doing Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode now that I have finished my Plok! TAS, so I was wondering this one thing about FCEU... Is there a way to make FCEU frame advance the way SNES9X does? By this, I mean, when you hold down the frame advance button in SNES9X it automatically advances several frames, in slow motion. I find this very helpful rather than using a slow emulation speed... Is there a toggle I'm missing, or does this feature just not exist in FCEU?

The feature doesn't exist in FCEU yet. It annoys me too - the only way to sort-of simulate it for now is to either use slow motion and pause/unpause a lot, or leave it paused and be willing to mash on that frame advance button pretty quickly. (Unless I'm mistaken, FCEU is the first emulator to implement frame advance, and the "repeat" frame advance functionality of other emulators actually happened as a mistake and only later was discovered to be more helpful.)

Gens doesn't have repeat frame advance either. I usually run at 50% speed and unpause-pause when I want to advance a few frames quickly, the result is pretty identical. You could try that with FCEU.

Argh. That sucks... I guess I'll just try to use some sort of auto-fire program or something. I know my JoyToKey program does that... I wonder if I can get it to map a key to a key... Or could someone modify the code? :)

It also might not crash. What's your point?

Well for me it's only safe if I switch back to 100% first.

With or without, I am playing at 100% speed and never had any problem. Having this feature or not!? Personally, I don't care. There's more important bugs that need to be fixed before.
