Hey there, Since the last GDQ I thought I would give myself a kick up the backside and try and get into this sort of stuff. A little about myself and an attempt to rationalize what I want to achieve: I am Douglas, I'm in my late 20s. I work as a software engineer (5 years in total, 1.5 years at my current job at Amazon). I've been into games since as far back as I can remember, growing up playing Sonic 1, Starfox, Donkey Kong Country 2, LoZ Links Awakening, and Donkey Kong ('94); moving through games like Star Wars Shadows of the Empire, Deus Ex, Halo, Mass Effect, LA Noire and more. As for what I want out of TAS stuff, I want to just be part of something. As I've mentioned above I am a professional software engineer. I know C, Java, some C++, some assembler, some python. I don't know Lua and C# but I could easily pick them up. So yeah, hi.

Welcome to our small community! Programmers are essentional in our hobby. We still don't have rerecording emulators for 3DO, Atari Jaguar, Java Mobile game platform and so on. BTW, participate in development of Hourglass-Resurrection http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14959 This "emulator" will bring us the ability to TAS Windows single-thread games with mouse support. Everyone looks forward to it!
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.
