"Unsupported scenario: reading 2048 bytes from an unhandled sector type" gets thrown when trying to read the .cue file. This does not occur for either Dragon Knight or Dragon Knight III. I tried two different ROM dumps.

Can you tell me what you did exactly? I'm getting the same error with this game (as well as a bunch other PCECD games) and even after throwing the .cue into DiscoHawk to create a .ccd, the problem wasn't solved. (Tried with the Redump version of the game, btw)

Sorry for the false positive; while the .ccd gets BizHawk to boot the CD (i.e. get to the start screen), I can't actually load the game by hitting the run button. For some reason I didn't check that. For reference, what I did was simply to drag the .iso file into DiscoHawk's conversion slot.

Not sure what changed but this seems to be working properly in Bizhawk 2.1

what changed was https://github.com/TASVideos/BizHawk/commit/3a4b9ed798435f26ff0afe7e72c31e574209ebc3 I can't believe these were good dumps. Please tell me which "good" redump game you used which triggered this. There may be something unusual about them.
