Pinkie Pie is the kind of character that could very easily be highly annoying, but for the most part the writers have successfully avoided it. However, in the fourth episode of this season she was really annoying (to the viewers, or at least to me, in addition to being so in-universe). At least in the first half of the episode. But cool thing that we learn Maud's full name. (Btw, wouldn't she be a petrologist?)

S7E11 Not Asking for Trouble Ok, this episode was decent but I don't think I agree with the end at all. Pinkie helping the Yaks without them asking for help ended up being ok? So is the morale to be learned that you should give help to people that deny it?

A hundred years from now, they will gaze upon my work and marvel at my skills but never know my name. And that will be good enough for me.

I completely forgot that existed. I hope it doesn't go the path of Mighty No. 9.

Well, there hasn't been any scandal so far, and it hasn't suffered from feature creep quite so much. It should be good.

It's official. Mid-season hiatus begins after episode 11 in Canada and the U.S.A. We have a theme going on... it started after the 13th episode of season 5 and after the 12th episode of season 6. This is season 7 and we're going into hiatus after the 11th episode. So 5x13, 6x12, 7x11. If it ever happens right after season 8 episode 10 aired, we're gonna go crazy. I bet the show is going to end after season 10 is over. The fandom will never die, even if the franchise goes into G5.

Oh that's kinda lame. I forgot that they go on hiatus now, so I didn't think the last ep I watched would be the last for quite a while...

Equestria Girls debut in the eve of the franchise's 30th anniversary. Tirek's appearance on Friendship is Magic was on the year of the 30th anniversary of the first TV Special. Last year marked the 30th anniversary of My Little Pony 'n Friends. This year will mark the 25th anniversary of My Little Pony Tales and the 20th anniversary of G2. Next year will mark the 15th anniversary of G3 and the 35th anniversary of the franchise. The Friendship is Magic episode Crusaders of the Lost Mark where the Cutie Mark Crusaders got their Cutie Marks was on the same day as its series debut 5 years later.

S07E13 The Perfect Pear This episode is perfect. There haven't been many MLP episodes that managed to make me tear up like this one did. Too bad they never told what happened to the two.

Rather late, but I saw this: Especially the part on "Starlight Glimmer Show" and I laughed a lot for some reason.🙂

One think baffles me about the episode The Perfect Pear. (I really think that the spoiler tags are very necessary here. If you follow the show, please watch the episode before reading any spoilers.) It's heavily implied that none of the three siblings know anything at all about their parents, because Granny Smith never told them anything. As in they... disappeared... when they were too young to even remember. But the age difference between Big Mac and Apple Bloom is quite large. As in, something like Big Mac probably was already at least a "teenager" (in pony years, whatever they might be) when Apple Bloom was born. Yet it's still kind of implied that even he doesn't know anything about his parents. It's a bit strange.

I don't usually watch trailers because I don't want to get spoilers. I watched a bit of the beginning of that trailer, though, because I was curious about the art style. It looks a bit weird. It clearly heavily uses 3D CGI, but it also seems to use a form of animation that looks hand-drawn in the classical cartoon style. It would be interesting to know if it's indeed hand-drawn, or if it's some kind of advanced Flash graphics editing.

I only noticed it after someone posted a comparison:

From what I've heard, they've redone everything with https://www.toonboom.com/products/harmony

I just started my archive binge... Watched a few G1 episodes and the 1986 movie. Then I'll watch all the G1 episodes, Tales, and G3 for the rest of the week. I'm not counting webisodes because they're too short and Newborn Cuties sucks. I don't have the Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Star Song DVDs, but I do have A Charming Birthday on VHS and it's in mint condition. Then it's two weeks of Friendship is Magic including Equestria Girls. Then a week of Littlest Pet Shop, and one more week of Friendship is Magic including Brony documentaries. NEW UPDATE: Yay Ponies is an archive of shows, movies, and books from the entire franchise, including the Japanese dub of the first two seasons. The Shout! Factory release of My Little Pony Classic Movie Collection. The two discs have Princess Promenade and Runaway Rainbow. They include Dancing in the Clouds and Friends Are Never Far Away, respectively. Similar to the Paramount releases. Plus, the Paramount releases of A Very Minty Christmas (first on VHS, then on DVD) have A Charming Birthday as a bonus, while the Shout! Factory release has sing-a-longs as a bonus. Tomorrow is the last day of me watching G3 movies. Considerably shorter than My Little Pony: The Complete Series, My Little Pony Tales: The Complete Series, and any My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season One (also seasons 2, 3, 4, and 5). ANOTHER UPDATE: I had to put my archive binge on hold. BTW new episodes starting this Saturday!

I didn't take any pictures this time, so let me be brief. Fewer fursuiters, more crossdressers, and someone trying to pass themselves off as Dr. Gaster. Otherwise, it was more of the same.

I guess they took it down since it's no longer relevant. Although it was more of the same, for reasons I can't quite identify I actually left there feeling dirty and a little violated. I'm sure the dude wandering around with a body pillow depicting Daring Do bondage didn't help, though.

I had a small hiatus in my archive binge following G3. I'll get back to it today. In other news, Netflix won't be showing Season 7 this month...
