This is an oddly specific scenario, so I will try to explain it the best I can I started recording a TAS of Sonic the Hedgehog for Genesis last night on version 2.2 of BizHawk I just finished the game today and I was pretty proud of the run, so I saved it and tried to go back and record it. It plays perfectly until the end of Spring Yard Zone Act 1 / the beginning of the special zone getting the fifth Chaos Emerald No matter how many times I try to play it back, it messes up at that exact instance. I have tried restarting the emulator several times, but nothing. Does this mean I have to re-record my TAS from that point onward? I can send the exact files I used to whoever wants to take a look at this and see if there is any fix Edit I did not use any savestates for this run, I just used the rewind / pause feature to go back frequently

That’s a bit concerning, I’m not aware of any sync problems with the genesis core. Can you post the movie file? Maybe it’s something that can be tracked down.

Eww, that sounds bad. Just to be sure: Did you have any cheats or lua scripts that write to memory running?
