Lap 3 20"36 Link to video Lap 4 19"71 Link to video Just got started on lap 4, that is my first finished run. As you can see I no longer get 20"36 on lap 3 but get a good amount more speed entering lap 4. I wasn't expecting to get this low of a time so quickly.

Just chiseling these numbers into a few binary bits into the TASVideos server. If you guys see a loose chisel sitting by your servers, sorry, I left something there. And don't mind the practice scratches I made on the side of your machines. It took a really steady hand getting the right bits chiseled in properly. 40k rerecords on this one track. There's 19 others. And if you want to go there, the Champion Circuit as well. Are we looking forward to 800k rerecords? I am impressed with the effort going into this. Frequently getting bumps off the slower machines, and sometimes major ones at that, along the way? Are you sure you need those floating mines? I've been caught up on my older projects, and focusing my time on one of them now, so I haven't been putting further time here. Please take my encouragement and see what more impressive times you can get.

I'm not even sure I'm done with that track, I want to revisit the start at some point now that I'm more experienced.

Hey the one lap that broke sub '20"XX was the the only lap that got mines! Seriously though mines are basically guaranteed 640km/h whereas CPUs may vary a fair bit. In some cases having a CPU bump instead of a mine boost isn't a big deal but they work differently. This track is kind of annoying in that some sections of track are skipped and others are just really wide and cpus and mines could spawn way out of your way. Also here's my first run of the first lap of the next track: Link to video I plan on improving it further but it's already a decent bit ahead of the corresponding human best opener.

Lap 2 progress so far: Link to video This is decent but I haven't experimented much with boost placement yet.

I like the part where J.B.Crystal slammed into you. And the part J.B.Crystal slammed into you, followed by the part where J.B.Crystal slammed into you. Geez, these rivals sure like to keep up! I am worried about your power. The Jet Vermillion may be durable, but starting your third lap out of five with scarcely more than half your health remaining makes me worry you're going to get less out of your 5th lap boost from critical damage. In any case, that's a pretty fast lap.

I'm definitely aware of the health situation and will drift through the health refill if I need to.

Progress has been rather slow on this lately, I've uploaded some laps to my youtube channel that I haven't posted here yet, but I'm still on the same track. I've finally gotten to the point where health is a major concern. While I did remember that your top speed is lowered when at Low Power, I did not remember that it applied to boost as well. I may have to reroute some of the earlier laps, we'll see.

Something I noticed a while ago that there seems to be a slight difference in how the game handles right vs left turning. I don't know for sure if it's a turn or a balance type thing but I notice that the input patterns are different between right and left drifts where you just barely avoid hitting 45 degrees: Left: Right: I'm not quite sure why this is a thing but it's definitely noticeable during that kind of drift and consistent as well. EDIT: My guess is that it's something to do with rounding or truncation but it's still really strange nonetheless.

Decided to get back into this game: Link to video Probably still improvable but wanted to show something after the long silence.

I'm posting to provide encouragement. Alright! Good to see there's some more effort being put into this! Here's hoping the script is easy enough to read after all this time. I will enjoy watching any progress, and it's fine to take breaks when things are getting difficult. Encouragement sent.

Reading the script was by far the easiest part of getting back into this. The hard part is the actually TASing part.

Lap 1 improved and Lap 2 without boost: Link to video This provides a bit of a look into how I've been doing each lap in this game. Before I decide where to use boost each lap, I create a template lap without boosting. This means I can just edit the template to include the boost where it best saves time.
