In some fighitng/battle games, if giveup but still can win at totally then should I do giveup or get lose for save time? I don't like giveup, for hornor like as a warriors, maybe it's not make entertaiment for the run, but it's reduce boring if only aim speed run Here's example my run processing Link to video

I think this decision is up to the TASer. (edit: but it's mostly depends on the game and the difference between winning every fight versus losing/skipping some fights) - If you are doing an any% where giving up / losing is faster, you should use it - If you are doing a 100% or any stat / ending related goal, you could use it as long as it fulfills the main goal

I find myself agreeing with MESHUGGAH. We allow losing HP, lives, even continues to save time (unless it throws the difficulty out of the window, like in most Arcade games). And when your goal is tied to winning all the fights, by definition you can't lose. Otherwise, if the game doesn't really punish you for losing, why not abuse that?
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

megaman battle chip challenge may also present the same possibility, since you only need 3rd place in most tourneys to go forward in the tournament classes
TAS i'm interested: megaman series: mmbn1 all chips, mmx3 any% psx glitched fighting games with speed goals in general
