Uses the newly discovered credit warp (credit to Veo for his findings), and beats the previous TAS by over 4 minutes. All glitches aside from the credit warp and menu buffering are covered in my previous submission.
Credit Warp: It turns out the glitched characters generated via holding up while mashing C can be influenced via the amount of Meseta that you currently have. We get the character who shows up from having 215 meseta at the time of initiating the glitch, and access his expanded inventory using the inventory underflow glitch. However, unlike normal characters who influence the stats and equipment of other characters through the expanded inventory, this character's inventory allows us access to the game mode (slot 35). By removing the item that is currently in there (by putting it in storage), we are able to place another item in there and overwrite the game mode by buying additional items. By putting a carbonsuit in the game mode slot, it starts the credit sequence. For a more detailed explanation on this, please check out Veo's video on it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GpswAp9nRg).
Menu Buffering: If you open the menu and hit B at the right frame before the character stops moving, you can avoid encounters that would have happened on that movement. This only doesn't cost time when the screen doesn't move, otherwise you have to wait for the screen to move before it will allow you out of the menu. Credit again to Veo.
Route Changes: Rolf is named: "ホュ" as the characters used here are converted to Teim and an Antidote once selected in the expanded inventory. Teim is needed to cross the bridge to Oputa, and the antidote is used in meseta manipulation. By selling the antidote and two of Nei's equipped items then buying an telepipe we get the 215 meseta required. The rest of the route changes are outlined in the credit warp explanation.
Big thanks to AmaizumiUni, MrStarbird, Veo and Ruadath for all their work on this game.

Memory: Updating with 56 frame improvement.
Memory: Judging
Memory: Updating with 10 frame improvement.
Memory: Ruadath asked privately for authorship but did not ask the original author directly. Since only Jiseed's inputs were used and there was not an agreement to share authorship, there shall be only one author assuming no further improvements are made.
Optimization seems good.
I found the glitched cutscene amusing and the movie was well received overall. The published run has a fairly poor rating but I'll give this one the benefit of the doubt provided it gets good ratings in the future.

Do you plan on making your own temporary encode?

Thanks for the encode, since you've already made one I wont make one myself. I went ahead and updated the description.

Hey Jiseed, glad to see you are interested in updating the TAS of this game. I had done some work on a WIP of this and came up with a better menuing optimization at the beginning but didn't follow through. Merging my WIP with your submission and not carefully readjusting the RNG I get this movie User movie #50879242071405321 which is about 25 frames faster. There is probably a couple more frames that can be squeezed out of there by doing the encounter manipulation carefully. Feel free to take a look at it and update[/userfile]

Looking back on my RTA run I thought a telepipe from the inventory would be the way to go in the end, guess that was the case after all. Oh well, I kind of liked grabbing it from Nei's strength. I'm assuming that the only things you changed were the name, shop, telepipe and didn't optimize the encounters then? Also I'm not super sure about the rules on the site, did you want co-authorship Ruadath?

Traditionally if one uses somebody else's inputs for part of the run, coauthorship is granted.

Alright, I went back and did the RTA shop route and it turned out to be the fastest. Ruadath's shop was 6 frames faster than the one used here, but you save 10 frames from the name used. Additionally, I found that transferring items to Nei instead of dropping them saves 3 frames so thats another 9 frames. The walk was a little worse, but using menu buffering made it not cost any more time. Edit: link to new file: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/50894628322332836 Link to video

I'm sorry, but I found it boring. No vote from me. While I'm not familiar with this game, I'm still a fan of RPG TASing in general, and I couldn't spot anything impressive going on. Anyway, I still think that it's a worthy work of TASing, it's just that it didn't entertain me.

I don't vote for this, because I don't find this entertaining due to the short time run to watch it and than I'm not interested by this run genre, I can't be entertained by all fast menu and what else... I don't know in fact! For me, it's simply the quickest way to get to the end of the game and this way it's not fun because he has nothing to look at. But it's a great job that I congratulate greatly. Do you intend to do this run in "any%"?

this is the any% technically, they could do a "no game end glitch" category too, i guess. I wonder if there's interest in that though.
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Zareon did that 10 years ago and managed to pacifist the whole game. I don't remember what he did with Neifirst, but I remember the Army Eye battle involved characters throwing Moon Dews (possibly just regular healing items?) at each other, and he somehow marked Dark Force and Mother Brain as beaten by running away from them.

Does this new file use inputs from ruadath? I'll update the submission in a bit along with the authors if so.

No, it doesn't use any of Ruadath's inputs. I just edited my original submission.

A judge needs to update the submission file regardless.

small optimizations, 6 frame improvement might be a little bit more to go here, will let Jiseed take a look.

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/51023601320646755 10 frames saved, walk has zero delays due to RNG manipulation with the menus. Might be one frame floating around somewhere but I cant find it.

There are 0 inputs from Ruadath in the submission movie. However if he wants co authorship thats whatever, did enjoy his SaGa run afterall.

Coauthorship is mostly a courtesy thing unless you outright copy inputs. I'll update it when I finish judging.

I had a discussion with the author and due to various reasons wishes there to not be coauthorship. I see no problem with this as Ruadath's inputs were not actually used in the final movie.
