  • Recorded with FCEU
  • Luck manipulation
  • Fastest time to get the CPU bankrupt
This is an improvement of #430, which itself improved #427 that improved #426.
This time, using the best Chance card, I got the CPU bankrupt in 3 turns ... could even have done it in 2, but making the CPU get the needed rolls would have taken too long of a wait to be worth it (with luck manipulation), as I tried on every frame up to about 4 seconds.

Very nice, actually i never thought to get Advance to Go. I just did a new one that did get Building and Loan Matures $150. But only got it to 1:05. Good job.

So many locked Monopoly topics... I guess runs that take about a minute each don't take very long to make (my first horrible attempt of roughly 4 minutes only took half an hour.... which is probably why it was so long). But this movie, I must vote yes on. Every time a new movie comes out, I get more impressed; hats off to you, sir!

You guys competing in Monopoly is the most absurd thing I have ever seen. I approve.

actually, this is kind of nitpicky, but you could save a single frame by not inputting a name, if I beleive. If you do not input a name, you get player 1 or 2 by default, and you dont need to waste that one frame entering the single letter for your name (I press left then up in name select to do name selection the fastest). But I stand by my yes vote; 1 frame isnt going to bother me.

This is just sick. Good job. I vote yes.
If for honesty, you want apologies, I don't sympathize.

If you look closely, that was done without wasting any frames ... I just pressed A at the same time I did Left and Up, and "P " came out (not sure how, bug?). This actually took about a hour and half to make, thinking about the new improvements while recording. It's still beatable by several seconds if you can successfully manipulate the CPU's double turns, but doing it on 2 rolls at once without waiting too long is nearly impossible (the odds were 1/324 every frame). I once got the CPU to land on St. James (with doubles) then Tennessee, but he had just enough money to mortgage ...

Greatest quote ever. Kinda like arguing over who drew the better picture on an etch-a-sketch. I wanna play. 0:36 (used your start settings)

Oh snap....ziplock stole your spotlight. Now I must vote no. I haven't seen this kind of battling since Kung Fu.

I found this very entertaining. I never thought it was possible to beat the game that fast. Is it possible to do it even faster? This is for sure a YES vote.

Wow, I didn't think of that possibility with the "Go back 3 spaces" card I had, that was even faster than mine would have been with the double roll (by a few seconds), since the CPU did one less roll. Too bad most of it was based on mine, that would probably be the definite record (or is it?).

Wow...just wow. Wouldnt it still be faster to roll double 4's and then a 3 to go bankrupt? Or is it fater to get the 12 and then go back 3?

Double 4's then 3 was what I wanted to do, but in his case, it wouldn't be enough for bankrupt since the CPU spent less on the first turn ... I once got double 4's then 2 when I tried on mine (St. James then Tennessee), and the CPU had just enough money to mortgage.

Nah - just tossin' some ideas out there. The first 15 seconds are Acmlm's. I'm sure these guys can re-create it. Just hope they'll get it down lower ;)

I once had a run that did that, but I forgot to make him spend more. He had only bought Baltic and then landed on free parking.

I'm actually going to try redoing this 0:36 run, on a fresh new movie file ... I can't think of a way to improve it farther, but who knows?

Would somebody mind posting the route taken in the 36 version? FCEU has problems on this computer. I think it should probably be in submission info anyway.

How can you be sure that the rest goes as you hope after you have stoped recording?

Because none of it depends on player input at that point, the luck was already manipulated so that the CPU would get the needed rolls.

Can you trick the computer with trading in this version? Did anyone try the method I listed at http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=940

Chance is determined the exact moment you start the game (when it says who goes first), then nothing affects it ... getting "Go back 3 spaces" after "Advance to Go" was pure luck that could have needed a fairly long wait to force. But I found another way to affect my rolls (not the CPU's), and I'm using it right now to make them shorter ... might save about 1 second total. (edited) Got it down to 35.85 seconds, but waiting about 2 seconds before exiting the menu ... hopefully I'll find a better way to manipulate the CPU's last turn.
