Her comments from our discord convo:
"This game is ...weird. I watched the longplay to actual figure out what this game is about. I mean, I think that both of us know that their is a ColVision version of this game, which has quite a few more screens on the normal difficulty. When you asked me to help, I thought I was in for a treat. I played the ColVision version as a kid, and so I tried this version. Way different, and infact there are longjumps which I found interesting. That's all I have to say. :P -Echo"

Yes, in this port it makes you go faster. When I was testing, I got 34.26 without jumping, and a 24.15 with jumping. :P Echo helped me bring down the time of the last 3 screens by a little bit.

I voted yes for this one. I think that as far as Atari 2600 TASes go, this is relatively entertaining. Most Atari 2600 TASes are just the same 7 screens repeating over and over for 10 minutes. I like that this game cuts to the chase by just going through 7 screens and then beating the game, while also being a platformer. I think this would make a good addition to the vault's small collection of Atari 2600 games. Btw, on the second screen of the game, what's the purpose of the first jump you do before jumping over the fence? Is that faster than walking forward and jumping over the fence?

That is actually neccessary to jump over the fence. I tried going to the last pixel before the fence hurts the smurf, (it works like that lol) and his normal jump didnt make it over. It is also faster to continually jump in this game.

I just watched the longplay play through. Having seen that, I would say that this TAS shouldn't be published just yet. The game contains 4 loops, with increasing difficulty per loop, but this run only shows one loop. Also, the first loop has almost no enemies compared to the 2nd 3rd or 4th loop, meaning that skipping them omits a huge portion of the content that this game has. I think this is a good game for a TAS, but I don't think it should be accepted until all 4 loops are TASed.

Yeah. That's the same question I wanted to ask. How many loops? A2600 has a dedicated value to tell you if the difficulty has chaanged and is not looping in place. It may be the 4th loop or it may be a few more.

I have a bad feeling that no cares are put on my words.... Anyway, Game 1 is set here that is the eaziest difficulty in the game. You can set it to 4 to have the hardest difficulty but I'm pretty sure that the difficulty doesn't increase after one loop at this Game 4. No proofs are done to say that this TAS can be considered as completing the game. Everything that is done here will be seen in the hardest difficulty TAS so this one is just here to be put in gruefood... I just said everything that I told you on the #wip and in private message on discord Darkdevil. Good to see that you don't care ;) . Hello Gruefood ! EDIT : Actually, We will start with the set Game 1 and make 4 loops (or more if there is a hardest loop than Game 4) to complete the final TAS.

Darkdevil, stop messing with the Workbench. If you submit another movie that is so sloppy that it gets rejected, your submission privileges will be revoked. If you cancel your next submission before we can judge it properly, your submission privileges will be revoked.
