Hello to all fans Sunset Riders and speedruns! Present to you my TAS on the Genesis platform!
This is 1 player mode! Played for Cormano Wild, because his weapon has a larger radius of action than the Billy Cool pistols!
The game is completed faster than 2 player mode, but it took longer because of the screen with bosses damage percentages, where in 2 player mode 50% is 50%, while 1 player mode is 100%. 100% longer timed than 50%!
Thank you all for watching! Hope you enjoyed it!

ThunderAxe31: Judging.
ThunderAxe31: This is a really nice TAS, as it features some improvements compared to the current publication. Still, it turned out overall longer due of the fact that the author used 1 player, as it results in longer score screens after defeating each boss. Making the duration of the score screens as short as possibile does require some routing and optimization, so it can't be overlooked when making comparisons between TASes.
On the other hand, this TAS can't really be considered for a new branch, as it doesn't introduce anything particularly different from the current 2 players movie, which also has borderline entertaining ratings.
For these reasons, rejecting. Better luck next time!
CoolHandMike: Unrejecting due to rule changes for re-judging.
CoolHandMike: Entertainment is no longer counted for acceptability, and we also allow minimum and maximum number of players for Standard branches. As ThunderAxe31 noted this looks optimized and even has improvements compared to the 2 player movie. Looks like a fine movie and I see no reason for rejection anymore.
Accepting to Standard for branch "1 player".
Nice tas!

Hello and welcome to TASVideos, Juarez! This is a good first attempt to TASing, I must say. I have a question though. Could these new tricks be used in a 2-players TAS?

Hello, ThunderAxe31! I guess these tricks can be used in 2 player mode, but I can't try it. I do not know how to make a video for 2 players, apparently you need two more hands or somehow you can program keystrokes in certain frames?

In BizHawk you have TAStudio exactly for such cases. But even Gens has a multitrack mode where you can record for one player, then for another.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Juarez...just a thought, but the low voting on your TAS could be the lack of a "Temp Encode" If you had something for us to view, it would make it a lot easier to comment and vote. If this is anything like the TAS that jmos put out a few months ago, then it should be pretty good. Abstaining from voting...until a temp code can be provided.
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX

After some tests, I confirm that the new tricks discovered by Juarez could save time if used in a 2 players TAS. I also made an attempt to beat the first level, and apparently it's faster than both the published TAS and this submission, though I used BizHawk instead of Gens, so there could be emulation differences. User movie #56055419132800521 Juarez, I hope you will start a new TAS with 2 players. I can help you use BizHawk if want.
