My nomination goes to warmCabin, who has been doing an excellent work with Mega Man 2, which is by no means an easy game to get into. The zipless MM2 run is very well made, and the assistance on the any% run is also worth noting. warmCabin may not have produced as much in quantity as some other rookies in the list, but the level of quality is very high.

[16:36:31] <Mothrayas> I have to say this argument about robot drug usage is a lot more fun than whatever else we have been doing in the past two+ hours
[16:08:10] <BenLubar> a TAS is just the limit of a segmented speedrun as the segment length approaches zero

Steelix100 because his Tetris submission is just wonderfully representative of what a good TAS should be IMO.

TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

I nominate Aran;Jaeger, because I personally have worked with him and I know how detailed he is about trying to squeeze out frames. He is one of the few people that I know will hold on to a TAS until he is completely satisfied in every area that he can test.
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX

And this movie was submitted at: 2017-06-06 16:48:55 rather than in 2019.
collect, analyse, categorise. "Mathematics - When tool-assisted skills are just not enough" ;) Don't want to be taking up so much space adding to posts, but might be worth mentioning and letting others know for what games 1) already some TAS work has been done (ordered in decreasing amount, relative to a game completion) by me and 2) I am (in decreasing order) planning/considering to TAS them. Those would majorly be SNES games (if not, it will be indicated in the list) I'm focusing on. 1) Spanky's Quest; On the Ball/Cameltry; Musya; Super R-Type; Plok; Sutte Hakkun; The Wizard of Oz; Battletoads Doubledragon; Super Ghouls'n Ghosts; Firepower 2000; Brain Lord; Warios Woods; Super Turrican; The Humans. 2) Secret Command (SEGA); Star Force (NES); Hyperzone; Aladdin; R-Type 3; Power Blade 2 (NES); Super Turrican 2; First Samurai. I noticed that dadinfinitum isn't properly linked on the list above, instead there is a second link to the Hogs of War TAS. This would be the correct one: http://tasvideos.org/4042M.html
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

Congratulations warmCabin on a good first year!

I won! Thanks for voting, everybody! There was some stiff competition in this category--really, it could've gone to any of us. Especially the guy who simulated his entire game in C++. I've already saved 22 frames off my published movie, and Shinryuu is working some arcane framerule magic in any%. Plus we've got Buster-only brewing. Look forward to more Mega Man 2 this year.
