Aims for fastest time Takes hit to save time Loses no health Uses no warps/passwords 1 player
I used Snes9x 1.43. Level 1: From my last V5, ive shortened this level up by 18 seconds. Level 2: Ive shortened this level up by 18 seconds, also i take a hit from a snake to save a few frames. Level 3: Bike round. Farthest right as possible. Level 4: Snake round. Level 5: Rail road, getting chased by a monster with a chainsaw. Level 6: Tower Rat races. whenever possible, I dont hit the floor, which shortens this round up by alot. Level 7: Boss fight. Hits boss twice in some spots before she dissapears. Bonus Rounds: I just fool around waiting for the black pins/dominoes so i can kill myself.
In total, this is 45 seconds quicker then my last run i submitted.

Lookin pretty sharp now for the most part, but there are still a few questionable spots. The first level looks great, but there was one pig you finished with a punch-bitch-slap combo. Could you have used a different move and gotten him faster? The hover shaft level looks pretty good, some of the fights feel like they could be quicker, but it looks like you've spent at least some time optimizing them now. A couple of the snake pits look like they could have been finished faster, the last one for sure. The tower and dark queen fight look beautiful, nice job. My favorite part is the entertainment upgrade, you've managed to make things more fun for sure.

I remember playing this game as a kid all the time. I'm glad someone made a movie for it. I'm going to withhold my vote for now because I see lots of minor errors that I know you could fix. It's a good movie and all, but there were some points where it seemed like you could shave some frames off. Also, it would be nice if you explained why some things happened. I thought that your movie had desynched twice on me because you started getting hit in the chess level. Ends up you could end it faster by dieing. Who knew? Also, there were a few things that I thought would be more aesthetically pleasing. While I dig the tae bo in the descending level, I wonder what a little dancing to the music might do. Also, cant you juggle the bugs for lots of extra lives? If that takes up time, skip it. Oh, and why not collect those bowling pins? Bad idea? Scrap it...

Hmm.. well.. I am aiming for fastest time here, while having fun on the bonuses playing them at 200% speed and fun things like that. and yeah, i tried doing thr 1up thing with the bees, and i usually get hit.. and the way im hitting them now doing a Horizontal hover hit, i think its kinda hard. haha.. yea.. the tae bo, that was fun. I dont see where i can shave off any frames though.. I die ASAP in the Bonuses, and quickly finish off the rest.

Umm.. i just seen that question, but i cant see it in my movie. Everytime a pig comes, i kill it with either my running chain-ball move or my Bi-Directional kicks.

Hmm, looking again, I don't see it either. Guess I must have been watching one of the other runs.

Sorry man. This wasn't that stylish either. Not until the last castle where you fall down. That felt impressive somehow. But I noticed some missed hits which bugs me alot. In level 2 it seems fairly slow as well. This run would have been good if it was played in realtime. But with re-records I do expect more. This is a NO-vote. I hope you still are to improve this run further and makes it cooler to watch. Not an easy task to take on, but I think it can be done. Do not get demotivated by this critique, but rather prove me wrong in the next version. Cheers!

Vatchern, Ive watched both of your submissions, and i can say that its a great improvement. Youve made level 1,2 and 6 alot faster and funner to watch. the Auto-scrolling levels is a little hard to change anyway. And i enjoyed watching your double kicks on the final boss. Ill vote yes on this movie.

It looks like you miss punches at some places. Some times for example when you kick away your hooverboard you hit two times, when you kick it next time you only hit once. Seems strange to me. Also in the castle in the end where you are falling, there's that guy/rat/what ever that follows you. One time you hit it, next time it looks like a miss. Perhaps it's just me. Also the action in the first auto scrolling stage is still not perfected I feel. The bonus levels are still boring somewhat. But thats probably not your fault really. I rather see that cleared away with glance instead of loosing it though. I don't like those unnecessary punches you do either. It could be kewl to watch that like once. I'm talking about the first auto scroller again. Where you decide to travel from right to left or vice versa by punching in thin air. Doesn't look to fun when you do it over and over. I would feel it would be cooler if you stayed at the bottom when speed increases. Looks alot more skillful. Still these are just my oppinions and my thoughts. I might be wrong at several points. Just telling what I expected in the run. Sorry.

Ok.. In the level 2 with me hitting the snakes at a 2-1-3 what ever, i hit them 2-2 / 1-3 / 3-1, in any case, it takes 4 hover hits to kill the snakes. sometimes i might miss, but hit the snake below, then finish the top with the blade smack. I think that only happens once. gotta add in all the moves. In level 6. I hit the rat, then i miss. I dunno how to explain that. Maybe i was swinging for fun. because i only needed to hit him once.. or maube not even that. Just done it for fun and entertainment. In the Bonus levels. I am aiming for speed time. Not life bonuses/pins/dominoes/points or what ever. so i figured i would give myself a break and have some fun scrolling up and down the screen. level 3-4-5, cant really do much with those. maybe in level 5 if im not already at fastest speed, maybe take a turn faster or what not. but thats completely fine. And again in level 2. When im going through the spikes/fans, it makes the game look way way easier by punching then moving around making it look like your scared.

Hehe.. All videos here are for entertainment right? So I'm not kicking down on that. Perhaps you find your video entertaining, but sadly I don't. It's a good game which I spent hours with in the past. Never made it through though, so it was fun to see the end of it. Who is scarred? The watcher of your video or Pimple? Once again, just to clearify.. I'm not throwing shit on your work. Just that I don't like it. Have you concidered a two-player run on this great game BTW? That would rock! Then you could probably clear the bonus levels flawlessly also.

Yeah. The speed is good. But the entertainment level is a bit low. The best entertaining levels was the bike level (level 3?), and the falling down the castle (last level?). Also to my greater delight you used the GIGANTIC boot kick on the last boss. I found that kinda funny. :)

yeah.. I dont know how to make level 2 entertaining though.. i even find it boring to play. I cant really make the bonuses exciting unless i collect all the pins.. and that would take more time. level 4(snakes) cant be any more entertaining, and making level 5 entertaining would cost time, by going slower so the saw is right next to me. level 6(rat tower) is good, and the final level is straight up boss.

Ok.... Im going to cancel this submission. I was playing around and I killed a snake (in level 2)with one toss of my hover board(by hitting it 4 times with one toss). But i cant seem to do it any more. Im going to keep at it until i get it perfect. I found a way to make level 1, 2 seconds, quicker. And im going to get the pins in the first bonus as someone suggested, and not punch so much in the second level as someone suggested, and stay at the bottem in level 2 when the screen goes faster. and still try to maintain my speed in level 3-4-5, try to speed up level 6 by a second maybe.. and try to hit the boss in level 7 twice everytime she appears. I think that will make it perfect. Any comments or more things you would like to see, post them in the SNES forum under my Battletoads topic.
