That's all in title I'm recording a PSX game, duration of my movie is 160,000 frames (about ~35 minutes) (I use several savestates) I don't want to playback from beginning and read+write but I think I have to. Is there a way to avoid fails in future? Share your opinion, please

1) Make a couple of different savestates, i.e. occupy additional slots. 2) Sign them the way you want in your notebook or list, like "Savestate #5 is the end of level 3". If a lot of keys are assigned already, you can make a savestate and clear the hotkey for it. Then reassign the key to load that savestate again. 3) Start the movie in Read-only mode and load the wished savestate (a.k.a loadstate). Your movie will play from that point till the end of your input. 4) When you got to a wished moment, set to Read+Write mode, make another savestate where you want to continue, load it and here you continue your movie.
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.

If you want to remake your savestates, you'll have to rewind to the earliest point where you need one. In practice, replaying it from the start is the easiest solution. For convenience, use the auto-stop and turbo functions built into the Play Movie dialogue. In the future, make a savestate at the beginning of every major section (e.g. a new stage), and don't touch it until you're 100% sure you're done working on it. This will make rewinding much faster.
