Post subject: bizhawk stops taking keyboard input after launching a rom

pretty much what it says on the tin-- I can bind hotkeys just fine pre-launch, but after loading any rom into bizhawk I stop being able to bind anything including controls. furthermore, the default controls cease to function and I'm unable to interact with the game. help!

I can't reproduce this. Either delete the config.ini file in your bizhawk folder or just start from scratch with a new download. If that doesn't help, try some older versions and see if they work. 2.3.2 an 2.4.2 are pretty stable versions to try.

as it turns out, what I thought was a bug happens with other emulators as well... maybe it's dinput messing up somehow? any thoughts?

rebooting my pc and reinstalling bizhawk prereqs fixed the problem... but only temporarily. about an hour later I was back to not being able to input anything.
