About the game

Little Master is a strategy RPG. It was released only in Japan. You will save your kingdom with your monsters from the invader. At an ancient temple, your monsters will be stronger by fusing two monsters. Some villages have a monster you can recruit. There are fifteen stages in the game.

About the run

This is a glitched run which skips all stages, except for the first stage, without beating the enemies. The graffic turns entirely to white if I hold B just after entering the stage and keep doing it untill I go to the playfield. Then selecting ほうこく leads to the stage being cleared.

mmbossman: This didn't do much for me, but the audience seemed appropriately impressed. Accepting.

This seems a little like the Fire Emblem games (although this is older, I think). The first battle was alright to watch, and then the glitching, although useful and quick, wasn't particularly entertaining. All the actual action of this movie is in the first third. It's nice to know the game can get beaten this quickly, and you look like you did it well, but I don't think the run is particularly rewarding. Meh.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Thanks for the encodes Aktanusa! It's kind of funny because this is pretty much the same situation as Ghostbusters (as a recent example) where some cheap glitch lets you skip the game. In this case I am totally unfamiliar with the game, and also there is slightly less (?) action. But it did have a cow fighting a rat and a chicken fighting a bat, so a couple points there. Intellectually it is a cool movie but I guess I'm just not in the target audience. I am abstaining from voting.

LOL, that was great. What did you DO to that cloud castle to immediately destroy it? Hilarious. It's the same sort of entertainment the King's Bounty run gave me. I have no idea what's going on because I've never played the game, but I could see that something ridiculously messed up just happened and something was won much more immediately than intended.

To destroy it, I needed to beat the boss of the stage. But I skipped the stage by holding B before entering the stage.

I just watched, and WTF'ed appropriately. Assuming this gets published, can anyone suggest any screenshots? This is all I got so far, apart from another slightly less entertaining one. Lossless encode at 7.82mb: Download Mainly intended to see if I could shoot for something smaller then Aktan's encode, and at this rate, the movie may as well be published lossless anyway. My lossy encoding attempts are earning me water that refuses to cooperate. The reason it is lossless is because using a lossy encode of good quality will end up with the same size as the lossless encode at worse quality, if this movie does get accepted, I highly recommend you let me publish it with the lossless encode simply because it isn't possible to preserve the quality lossily in the water and credits sequence without making it bigger then the lossless encode. The ratio is 0.782:1 anyway, much below the TASVideos.org standards. Also, since I know adelikat will not upload this to YouTube: Enjoy I will only reveal the DM URL (It is currently private) when it is published to not steal Aktan's thunder.

I don't know why, but your encode plays back completely garbled for me. :( The audio is perfectly intact, but the video looks really bad, like this: Is it just me? I've seen other encodes that look like this too for me (though none that were actually published).

I suggest playing it back with an up to date version of ffdshow and using VLC, it will play back perfectly. What are you trying to play it in?

Media Player Classic, with a pretty recent version of ffdshow. I'll update my ffdshow then. Edit: It's much better now: Also, I don't know Japanese. I wonder what this screenshot says. Anyway, it seems like my version of ffdshow from Sept 17 2008 didn't work. I had to update to the version from Nov 8 2009. Thanks for pinpointing the problem!

What a silly glitch. Yes vote.

I watched this again and liked it a bit more and voted Yes -- this is pretty squarely in the realm of what we aim to publish here.

Good intro fight, and it is a good glitched RPG. The glitch gets a little bit repetitive, but that wasn't enough to take my yes vote away.

Awesome quality with this encode. Do Gameboy games typically come out as favorably as this or is this the first time anyone's tried?

The quality is 100% lossless. It turned out to be smaller to make it lossless then to use a high enough bitrate to achieve the same size. I don't think it'd be the first someone tried though. =P

LGTM.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
