Only just started watching so I can't quote for it's quality yet. But as of the first few minutes into the run you enter a special stage - it would be much more beneficial and entertaining if you manipulated all 3 players to gain rings in them. As the score countdown will go a lot faster if the rings are divided between all 3 players. As you can see here in a scrapped run; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5p4pL_356P8 [Edit] And this is why I should've kept watching before I made that comment. You have the capability to skip the score count, and it's all combined into one anyway. Redundant message is redundant. Sorry to have bothered you! [/Edit]
Um, yeah! That would be fun to see three players collecting some rings! By the way, the score counts skip by themselves (if you got the GMV and turned on Input Display, you could see that). Thank you very much!!
Yeah, sorry about that. As my Edit states, you are able to score calculation skip, I hadn't seen that when I made the initial post. That's what I get for jumping the gun on trying to suggest improvements (:

Now I’m done with TASing Sonic Classic Heroes, and onto TASing other hacks. Sonic 2 Heroes, Sonic Delta v0.39a (40Mb), and Sonic 1 - Score Rush are the ones on the list. In Sonic Delta, I finished Casino Night, and onto Hill Top (or another beta or prototype level). But is that all there is to it? Oh no, no, no. Sonic Delta 40Mb is a hack created by Esrael Neto that combines the levels of Sonic 1, Sonic 2 (prototype, beta, final), AND Sonic 3 & Knuckles. In one hack!! It’s a Sonic 3 & Knuckles hack as of version 0.29, when it transferred the codebase to S3K. I cannot link the ROM, but I’ll give you the Sonic Retro page: http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_2_Delta Download the latest version. Are you up to it? Actually, I need some help in the Sonic 3 & Knuckles part, glitchless please! Thank you to anyone who reads this post.

Specifically the S3K part? Isn't that technically the whole game? I'm curious why you are after glitch-less, or do you perhaps mean no horizontal under-flows?. Additionally, will you be going for Emeralds or no? View this for your consideration of what could be neat. Link to video

Managed to lose the original recording file. Got really annoyed with the heat the other day, and ended up re-creating it. Subsequently, turns out I saved some frames at "Sega" skipping and even managed to save a few frames during the stage. Comparison video is below, old recording on the left, new on the right. 1. Yes, no warps, just some glitches like accessing Knux’s route with Sonic. 2. Yes, all emeralds, it is a 100% run. 3. Nice test you have there.

Thanks. Shame you didn't see the improvement video yet. How is your own coming along? Seeing as you were seeking 3&K assistance.

I fancied doing a little more with the test video so I completed the special stage and did act 2 of GHZ. Link to video All the way to "Aquatic Ruin" though you say? That's quite impressive you have done that much so far. What's your stage times up to this point, out of curiousity?

Having a playaround during the credits scroll is typically done when people are unable to speed it up. Additionally, whilst I'm not against it personally as I find it fascinating from a technical point, using horizontal underflow in a hack like this isn't really doing much that a normal Sonic 1 play can do except quicker by using "cheats" and so perhaps refraining from that might be better from a entertainment standpoint. Just F4F.

Now tbh play around during credits scroll was intentional and I was already bored seeing the same stupid thing over and over again for the past few days. Well horizontal underflow or level warp was used because it was a any% run. And the reason why I chose this hack was this hack is fast and I love Hyper Sonic. Well I could've used normal Sonic 1 glitches but that would take too much time. So I had to find some more glitches aswell that people didn't knew of. Anyway I appreciate the feedback.

I appreciate and understand it was an any% run and as such typically people use the fastest means possible but I'm not certain that's gonna result in the best entertainment except with maybe the underflows that would be unique to Super/Hypic sonic only, such as what you did in Labyrinth 3. I'm not fully certain but that's just what I got from my viewing of it I found it most interesting when you found clips I didn't expect and had to go back and re-watch them.

These clips were hard to find but some of them were right there that people didn't knew. Now people kept saying that I was slower than DMTM'S run. And well.... The answer is this. He used a different and older version of the hack back then. And to me that doesn't count. Also recently my friend beat some of the levels that I did. He got lower time in LZ2, and few secs in a another level. Now regarding what you said Labyrinth zone act 3. I really need to obsolete the level because as in my video as well. If I obsoleted it I would've got even lower time but I was too lazy to just go back and obsolete it and the run was 2 months old so I didn't do much.

I would try to improve it but like I said in the S3K thread I'm unable to do any tasing for the next 3ish weeks. That tas does indeed look improvable. For one you didn't even do basic Sonic 1 movement at the start of every level which is hold <> for one frame to instantly gain 128 speed and then jump (you accelerate twice as fast in the air).
Also kaan55, these two movies are improvable in various things. So, if you want to improve these runs someday when you want, feel free! This hack really don't have much potential to be submited at here.. but it's cool visualize side by side the differences and mistakes.
Ok so I improved your run but not asumeh's run because well I got bored and I did it. I beat you in ghz, SYZ, fz. I got same time in LZ, but lost in MZ, SLZ and SBZ. Also I used lua script for TASing. Although it doesn't show the eggman hits the game is still fun to play. I recommend that hack for practice or fun reasons. Also I want to learn how to do 2 player thing.

So hello there forum! So I did a TAS of Knuckles' Emerald Hunt. So here is the thing about this hack, you collect emeralds around the stage and you can go to the next zone or you can unlock some other zones when you finish the given levels. pretty straight forward right. But the thing is, this game has a RNG or seed based emerald locations. Depending on what frame you enter or how you enter a level. So I want to keep this short and ask you a favor if you see and comment about it. Maybe I can then improve the my TASing skills more by that! Video here:- Link to video

I’ve made a quick test run of Sonic 3 Master Edition 2 DLC with Knuckles. Sadly, I’ve stucked in MGZ because I forgot how to beat the boss (I remember it’s tricky but I forgot the exact reason why the level doesn’t end after destroying the capsule). Could anyone help me? Link to video

Wow, your run looks very fast! How’s the progress, are you still working on it?

I see you have beaten me and Joseph lol. Very nice improvements. Just to note, Joseph's Angel Island was last year and same was my Hydrocity act 2. So not everything is optimized and since Joseph did it as a testrun so yeah. Marble Zone act 1 was done this year due to me being lazy last year :p. And Marble Zone was fast. Currently I am working on Carnival night. And would ask you, would you like to come and join the Collab. Would be fun.

I use Github for gmv versioning. But I can share my current gmv, here it is. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1151637665/Sonic%203%20Master%20Edition%202%20DLC%20Gens%20Version.gmv Keep in mind that it’s not much optimized, most improvement comes from very different routes and strategies. You may want to redo it. I also need help with the MGZ boss, I would kindly ask marzojr or whoever can help, to explain me what’s the trick about that boss. I remember successfully beating that boss myself many times in the past, but it seems I completely forgot the right way of doing it, I only remember it‘s kind of tricky.

Might if I can try to help with that. Since every act 2 boss takes longer invincibility frames.

Yeah, I’d be happy if you manage to beat the MGZ boss. For now the problem is not that it takes longer than usual, but that it makes Tails want to sleep instead of finishing the act =D
